I need some help. I will admit it heh. I am trying to figure out how to make it so I can play eve-online on my limited account on windows XP. The less confusing the better. I already went in and gave rights via dos CACLS thing and went through the instructions on giving rights the program files/ccp/eve folder. I made some success, instead of just crashing when i start up it will login and go to char select screen and will show all as blank o.0 and will not load up my characters and wont give me option to create a new one. Anyone here can help me out? I also tried using runas via the Administrator account and that doesnt work

You don't need administrator rights on any operating system to play EVE Online.
We can't help you unless we have your specs.

Don't put it anywhere in program files... move the whole eve directory to a games directory off root or something like that.
Windows is getting very funny about where you're allowed to put things on your own machine

got that from dxdiag report
A few problems highlighted straight off. None should stop it working. How old is the windows installation? Random problems like this sound like an old installation breaking down. --------------------

This indicates that you don't have installed a driver for you grapics card and you are using the default microsoft driver. I'm suprised you can run a game, this driver does not include any 3D accelration. Get a new driver here: ATI driver download |

Do that now.
If you installed it while logged in in an administrator account, I can't help you then :(
Running in rights limited accounts in Windows really isn't supported, it's a crap feature and few people that know how to work computers use it. It's more of an annoyance than something useful to them.
My advice, get a good viruscan and firewall (NOD32 + Zone Alarm), say your prayers daily, and don't go running random stuff. With some luck, you'll be fine.
