Ok, So I am 3 days out from T2 Medium Arty and then about 12 days from large arty and a Phoon... I just transfered to a Lvl4 -16 mission agent (in.8 secure space - so easy 4's atm)and tried out my Hurricane. First mission was "Assualt" against serpentis and I did just fine... I am wondering if a Hurricane is at all viable for the simplere Lvl4's until I get my phoon up and running and which missions I should definately avoid?

72 looks and no response. Lol. I take it I shouldn't try? Figured out if I get a warp into range, then I am fine, but if i warp on top. I die (The Rogue Slave Trader - Part 1). Webbed and pummeled at close range by 2 BS. So yeah. I think I will wait.

You also tried to field test your shield tanking BC with BS sig, vs. pew pew pew.
You might have a better time in Assault vs. Guristas or some Serpentis missions. tbh the cyclone has a better change in lvl 4's due to it's better tanking ability, much like the prophecy.
Without investing in some serious faction mods I wouldn't recommend the hurricane for most of the lvl 4's when you can simply do them in something else.

I was able to complete rogue slave trader 1 and 2 in a hurricane with under 2m sp. I would start the mission with this setup:
6x650 art (emp), 2x assault (sabretooth) ab, 3x cap recharger MARII, em hardener, 2x therm hardener, eanm, gyro
After killing all the frigs and bcs I would warp out and switch to an ac setup with 2 gyros to drop the battleships faster. Once you get it down you can basically farm the first mission every day for some decent isk and some nice salvage.

I used my artillery hurricane alot for lvl 4's when they first came out. i havent used it in awhile.. but i *think* my setup was
6x 650 II's 2x Heavy Launchers AB, Tracking Computer II, 2x Eutetic rechargers MAR II, 1x gyro (sometimes wouldnt use it), rest i would use active hardeners.
rigs = none, at the time they were too expensive. but if i were to use it again, id probably go with tracking rig or rof, or a little mix.
damage wise, i never had a problem with the ship. could always take down bs's, no problem with vengence bs either. problem was the tank, its pretty ****ty. I did manage to complete GE with it.. but it took way too ******* long. tried to do pirate slaughter in it. the 3rd part was too difficult though. also, i used EM about 90% of the time.
