I read the forums, and it looks like there is so much interesting things going on pvp-wise...
I enter the game, and its the most boring thing I ever saw...
So, what shall I do to see some fun in EvE? And how much time\grind\boredom I need to devote to the game to actually start enjoy it?
BTW, im from WoW...

This is not the path I took but...
The simplest way to get involved in PVP is to put some guns into the top slot, go to any system 0.4 and below, and start attacking people at the belts. If you succeed, then keep going. If you don't succeed, then start figuring out what you did wrong, and work towards correcting it. Repeat as necessary.
Other ways involve joining corps/alliances that are active in PVP.
It's not the most specific answer, but your question was quite general.

Join a PVP corp. Go shoot some people on your own.
Truth is that unlike WoW, EVE doesn't offer you quests and doesn't hold your hand guiding you along a path. You're left to your own devices.
If you're interested in the PVP that you see with the wars and all that, you need to do two things: train up your skills so that you're effective in combat, and join one of those corps that are involved in the wars and such.
Both are at your initiative. There should be enough tutorials on these forums about what skills to train and what ships to look forward to. And as far as joining those corps, you'll have to contact one of their recruiters; look at the corp recruitment forum or do a show-info in-game and then send mail or open convo with someone in that corp.

Is that so? I thought that in EVE you always need money to buy a new ship when you get destroyed. How do I get that money without grinding?

Oh... there are lots of ways to make ISK without grinding...
You could go beg in the noob corp and help channels (not noob help, the regular one you reach through the chat channels)
You could try and scam people out of their money somehow (im not going to go into details here, be creative)
You could spend a little time and get into a hauler and go steal people ore
You could go around and clean out wrecks that people left behind in belts
There are probably more things, I am just too lazy to think of any. EVE is what you make of it, you are in a big sandbox with few restrictions, go forth and have fun! -=^=-

Actualy there is EVE version of quests, they are called missions and Exploration can be also sort of quests. But those are quite diferent from WOW as EVE is totaly diferent game. I also came here from WOW and i am enjoing it, no more need to care about being every dat at xx hour ready with pots for instance grinding. Eve have much more choices what you can do then WOW. Also be able train skills offline is good, no more need to choose skip or waste mont subscription when you dont have much time to play.
For beginning its good to join corporation, it can be your friend corp or if you dont have friends in eve yet, you can try some corp whitch helping players to start, for example there is "Eve University".

That's one of the big obsticles for new players in EVE. "What do I do?"
Well the asnwer to that is, "Whatever you want."
When I first started playing EVE I felt the same sensation and I thought this game to be somewhat boring until I came to the realization that you make your own story in this game. EVE is unlike modern MMOs now where there is a linear quest progression in your characters, that is why there are really no levels in the conventional sense and its all skill based; you create your character exactly how you want to play.
For me personally I find what I want and figure out what I need to get there, and that is my quest. I'd suggest doing some missions, get a feel for the game, plot out what exactly your goal is and start working towards it. Additionally, don't hesitate to use the help channels, and all the guides out there are a excellent resourse to understanding both the game mechanics and what to expect from a particular career route. I have found those two as necessary resourse to tap into when learing about EVE.
Once you're out of the tutorial, your horizons are whatever you make of them.
Best of luck.

This response makes the inherent assumption that you need to get yourself destroyed to have fun, and that getting ISK is not fun.
There is no set minimum grind before having fun, as it is up to you what is fun. --------------------
