Otherwise i guess you could try to email [email protected] for help. --- Your 425mm Compressed Coil Gun I perfectly strikes Guristas Conquistador, wrecking for 969.6 damage. |

Calm down....
Try to update your video drivers. (I did that and it worked for me. Didn't even know there was one available.) I had the same problem.

Edited by: Cao Cao on 17/12/2003 22:58:00 Daniel,
1. try installing the game in a DIFFERENT folder than the one it is in. That is, make an entirely new path for the game. This has worked for some people. (Example: if your game is c:\program files\eve try changing it to c:\games\eve-online )
This option has worked for some people.
The other option:
2. Reformat your hard drive. I had this exact same problem that you are having right now, and I spent a week trying EVERY way to fix it, including submitting all kinds of petitions and crap. Nothing anybody told me to do would help. So I finally said fug it, and reformatted my hard drive. I reinstalled everything (took the better part of an afternoon and evening), and bingo! the game worked after that.
This is just MY experience with this particular problem that you are having, and TRUST ME I know how it feels ... I was in my first two weeks of playing (back in May) when it happened, and I was sick to death I couldn't play.
Anyway I suggest you try reformatting your HD. When I had the EXACT SAME problem as you, that worked for me.
EDIT: again, I emphathize completely with your situation it totally sucks. I hope this helps...

Do you get any kind of error message at all? What does it say? and have you installed any other program during the downtime for castor? If you have the correct drives for your graphic card and the correct patches for EVE you should take the advice from our friend in Biomass......

it says Could not connect to the specified address. Odds are that you have not established an internet connection, the server isn't running, or the server address or port number was wrong. when i press the connect butten. o and if Mongo Peck is still in biomass tell him that i said hi. o and if any scenites members are on can u tell thenm that im haveing truble logging in. and i do have all the creect drives. and i was not downloading any program during the installanation.

That did the trick for me, does it help you ? This will probably work if you connect to the internet through a router, but if you just have some modem, it probably wont help.

A longshot, maybe, but for some reason when I updated to the newest patch, it defaulted to connect to local server.
If you try to connect to local, you get the error message you described.
Took me a couple of connect attempts before I realized what had happened. Hope this helps.

I installed the latest Nvidia drivers, but i had been receiving an erro file containing warning that a D3D object didn't exist. I had DirectX9 but there is a newer one out. I have installed that, along with the new video drivers, and I can now log in..
I recommend the DirectX update. Try that one first...
Good luck

Ok, make sure ANY software firewall you have on your machine is not setup to not prompt you if application got replaced...
Eg, make sure NEW version of EVE.EXE has access right to the internet on your software firewall... This might be your problem. Your Heavy Neutron Blaster II perfectly strikes Serpentis Chief Sentinel, wrecking for 660.4 damage.

what he means is that in the login window next to where you type username and password, there is 3 radio buttons.. the top one is the one that should be selected (TRANQUILITY).. not the bottom or middle one.

No, they're not fixing the problem. CCP have finally gone bust, and the Castor patch was by way of a little thank you to all their dedicated players. The sky is falling on our heads, and we're all doomed.
OMG we can't play a game! Quick everyone! Run for the shelters! It's Armageddon!
