I've searched the forums and have asked on the help channel and nobody seems to know anything. How do they work? How are they different than courier missions? Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

\Es"crow\, n. [OF. escroe, escroue, a roll of writings, bond. See {Scroll}.] (Law) A deed, bond, or other written engagement, delivered to a third person, to be held by him till some act is done or some condition is performed, and then to be by him delivered to the grantee.
Dunno..
Maybe a way to transfer stuff and do trade without clogging up the courier mission list with bogus stuff nStuff..

perhaps it's courier missions that you send to say corp friends etc? We used to use the missions for this before, but it got pretty messy. /Phoibos

Also it's a way to sell those items that the market doesn't recognize.
PAK seems to have turned it into some sort of private loot store :P --- soonÖ |

Yeah i had the same problem nobody seemed to know how escrow works.
But i think i do now. I did one escrow missions.
Open missions in a station and select escrow You'll see a list with items being sold. If there is something you like fly to the position it is being sold. you may or may not be able to see what is in the package, i don't know. If you want to buy the item (mission) chose the claim option. Then the item will be avaible for you in the station.
Your wallet journal will only say you accepted an escrow mission and none of the other buttons will give you any information about escrow missions. So make sure that when you claim a mission you know hwer eyou have to go,
hope this helps you out a little
good luck

You can see what's inside, rclick>inspect I've already seen the first (stupid) scammer.
Great way to finally sell the stuff people can put on the market. But I surely hope people will keep their normal stuff on the main market, the missions tab is already loading slow enough as it is. --- soonÖ |

When i open up the Courier Menu in a station i get an error and infinite progess bar.
So i wont be able to undock from that station ans proceed before my alt has given me that one item via escrow or courier mission.
Lets see how long it takes till they fix it. Member hangars anyone?

An escrow mission should logically be a (e.g. player created mission) transaction in which the payment is withheld by a neutral third party until completion of the transaction conditions by the buying and selling parties.
This could be CCP's solution to exploitmissions that cannot be completed. This would remove the chance for exploiters to earn anything by these missions.
btw, i know its not an official exploit but just can be bothered not to call it one.
