I just entered the area and am learning alot but am wondering where I might meet some others that explore the universe like I do. I am looking to one day make a name for myself and explore the area. I am willing to do the basic tasks of a new person in the universe, to learn, but am looking for more than that as I attempt to explore who I might want to become and what roles I might aspire to attaining?
Would anyone be willing to assist me in my tasks, help me learn, help me find a direction for my career and life as opposed to just stumbling along trying to find out what I could become. I am trying to find out what options are available that might not be apparent to the casual observer?
I await your reply.

The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Slaves exists to help young Minmatars such as yourself make the right decisions in life.
If you sign up for one of their induction courses, they will happily teach you about the Amarrian way of life and then find you an employer who will look after your every need and take all of the worries of the world from your shoulders.

Oh good grief, of all the people who might find this plea first it had to be that God-bothering slaver! Well my little chickadee, you should know that a plaintive cry like that is a candle of innocence that attracts only the cruel and the commanding like moths.
So keep your chin up, keep your shoulders square and march out into the darkness. If you keep your eyes opened wide, you'll soon start to see form in the shadows and who knows, before long you'll be taking your own initiative!

Mr. or Ms. Twilight (it can be hard to tell with these galnet glitches blocking image transfer) It looks to me like you could use the services of the EvE University. The University was formed to provide a place where new players can meet and learn together with the aid of experienced instructors. It is a friendly and supportive place where many capsuleers of all walks of life (including myself) have learned the ropes. If you are interested, I suggest you join the 'Eve University' channel and someone will be able to help you with any questions.

For God's sake don't listen to the Amarrian. He's a liar and a conniving wretch. I'd advise either Luna Rossa Corporation or Reawakened Technologies - either of these corporations can set you right in a jiffy. Look me up sometime, I might be able to help you start yourself off around here.

A good future for you is destined should you accept the faith. If that is too great a step, the SPCS and SEP are both organisations aimed at the advancement of slaves and former slaves.
If you accept the faith, feel welcome amongst the ranks of the Ammatar - thoe noble house of marek or the Delictum 23216 paramilitary.
Best wishes

If you want to make a name for yourself there can be no better place than amongst your own people, the Minmatar.
I hope you find your path, brother, and that it so much more than the lapdogs of Delictum 23216 and their owners can offer.
Feel free to contact me.

Aodha Khan speaks truth and wisdom.... though sometimes a more direct path needs be taken.

I personally wouldn't recommend siding with the Imperial paramilitaries or the minmatar freedom fighters until you've formed your own opinions on the situation, such as whether you want to be dragged into the whole affair. I'd suggest a smaller group to start with.

Exactly. In this case, I would strongly advise Guardian Coalition as a most sensible choice for them.

Neutral explanation: In my opinion there are three paths you can take:
1) have nothing to do with the slavery debate 2) be a slave under some stupid Amarrians 3) Fight slavery with the Minmatar.
Now within choice three there are two "sub" options. You can either be an extremist with a group such as Ushra'khan. Ushra'khan often takes controversial actions. Or you can take a more "peaceful" anti-slavery stance and be more based in peaceful diplomacy. ------------------------------------------------------------- What I think: You should join Ushra'khan, we have a learning corp that is very helpful. We are also a generally fun group of people to hang around with.

There are some "sub options under choice one as well. You can stay in Minmatar space and join a mining/industrial corp, you can leave Minmatar space and do the same thing in Gallente/Caldari space. I'd add Amarr, but they'll probably want to...re-educate you. The only reason people have for leaving their home space, mind, is because they disagree with something that is occurring there. For instance, the Gallente who come to Caldari space because of hypocrisy, corruption, etc., of the Federation. That being said, if you decide to come to Caldari space, look me, or Rjak Teken'duis up.
Any way you pick, good luck.

Option 4 - Reside in Minmatar space under the banner of the renowned Namtz'aar k'in and fight against the entities which are invading, killing and enslaving your kin every day. Here you can train in industry, combat and many more specializations with the help of a great community of people. As I already said, there can be no better place to become known than amongst your own kind.

Here's another option for you to explore:
Become a demagogue that rouses the hearts of the masses. Go to the Federation and rouse the spirits of your brethren that are taking up space there instead of working to strengthen their own Republic.
Lead them home to the republic,or if such is your belief and will: The benevolent guidance of the Amarr.
Whatever you choose to do you'll be reviled and hated by someone.
conversely you'll also be adulated and adored by others. -------------- I can love my fellow man but I'm damned if I love yours. |

I don't know your past history, but no matter where you were born, the extraplanetary environment is now your home, and those who share it with you are your true kin.
Those who live on balls of dirt are not your people. Do not live your life for them. Live your life the extraplanetary way, respect the ties that have held us together for the past hundred years, and follow the ideals and laws of CONCORD. Above all else, honor your friends and keep your crew alive when you can.
That is my advice. Welcome home, Pilot.

Molovian, I would suggest first of all that you work out exactly what you want to do and how you want to do it.
Check out agents from a few different corporations; try your hand at mining, flying combat missions and running courier packages for agents - see which you like, what suits your style.
Keep an eye on GalNet - see who's doing what, who each is allied with and aligned against. If a cause catches your heart, then go to whichever group you feel embodies your views best. Ask lots of questions, and be wary of anyone who offers you a place without asking a lot of questions themselves. Someone who doesn't want to know much about you, and has no standards, will probably not take you very far.
Finally, if exploration is your heart's bent, focus on training in covert ops, astrometrics and assault frigates with rock-solid defences - the first two will help you find some of the most wonderful places in the universe, and the assault frig (I'm a Wolf girl, personally) will get you in and out of most of them safely if you exert a little judgement. Once you're confident with those ships, turn your nose for Nakugard and start exploring Ani constellation. The history of the Minmatar, with all its triumphs and tragedies, is there for all to see.
The best pieces of advice I can give to any new pilot are these:
There is nothing you cannot recover from, and
Know who your friends are. Find good ones, trust them, and become something together far greater than the sum of your parts.
Best of luck in your endeavours, and if you're ever stuck on something, convo me.

1) Don't EVER trust religious fanatics such as PIE. 2) Don't trust a pirate. 3) Being a pirate is alright to be. Yar.
After that it's pretty much open game. Build yourself on you're own virtues, be who you want to be. Contact me if you'd like to see a very intense way of life, I'll show you a good time.

You will find that mad, drug-addled ravings are better tolerated on GalNet if you enclose them in double parentheses. ((Like so.)) I have no idea why people tolerate them thus enclosed, but it seems to be GalNet custom.
My apologies now for being off topic.
