First off yes it was my own fault accidents happen, but seriously this noncence about not being able to get them out needs to stop, why cant we have them removeable but on a time period like jumpclones 1 every 24 hours, surely this wouldnt effect balance ?

not balance, but they are not designed to be removable. you can repackage the ship to remove them. yes, this removes insurance too and all rigs at once.
making them removable like implants (and get them destroyed) wouldn't be bad, i agree. --

Im saying they should be removeable like moduals and for that matter so should implants, they should just have a timer , and maybee an ISK cost to remove intact.
I see no real reason to have rigs or implants broken upon removal.

If rigs were freely removable, the only time they would get destroyed would be when the ship was destroyed. This would be bad because eventually the market would be flooded with rigs and the parts of rigs would be totally worthless, putting lots of scavenger hobbitses out of work. Pls.. think of the hobbites and their starving hobbit children.

Petition it? I'm sure there's a logfile on some server somewhere that shows you haven't undocked with it plugged in and made use of it.

They are like implants for ships... you can't remove implants either.
Destroy it, deal with it, get over it...

well. matter of fact, you can remove implants, it just destroys them but last i checked, i didnt have to repackage my clone to get the implants out imo, you should be able to remove rigs, but it destroys them, just like implants means if you screw up and have 3 rigs in, you lose the screw up. not a game breaking change tbh.

Yes, it was your fault. I've made plenty of dumb mistakes - Including buying Archeology instead of Astrogeology, or leaving ú15 of computer and gaming magazines in amusements in Skegness - but I dealt with it, I chalked it up to dumb luck and got on with it.

I'm bang on the mark. This is no different from a newbie whining about pvp the first time he gets ganked and asking for a consensual pvp flag.

Isn't Alt-F4 the toggle shortcut for non-consentual pvp?

QFT. This man knows. Listen to his words.
Happens far too often, and honestly, it's getting rather annoying. The game was this way before you got here. Just because you don't agree, does not mean something NEEDS to be changed, or even should be changed.

I'd have no problem if it was changed so that rigs worked like implants...you can pull them, but they get destroyed if you do. That would be convenient without being game breaking.
A winning strategy! Are we going for a NBSI post policy, now? Because I seriously though CCP were better than that. |

Say, if you cut your car in half, welded it back together, cut some metal off here and there to reduce weight, placed the engine in the trunk and removed the roof.. could you possibly make it go back to what it exactly was? I doubt anyone can

If its a possibly useful setup.. you can sell the ship with rig in it to someone else.. then use the money to buy the stuff you do want.. would shrink your loss a little over pulling it out.

He's right though, if a bit undiplomatic about it.
Rigs are not designed to be removed. There is a warning box when you put it up. It says something along the lines of "are you sure? because once you do, the only way to remove them is if the ship is destroyed or you repackage it, in which case you lose the rigs as well"
and you have to press "yes" to that.
*shrug*
It's an expensive mistake, but not one the OP will make again, I'm sure.

Well we do know that this is not real life but.
When rig pieces went from 1m^3 to .01m^3 was there any effect in their performance?
