Edited by: SgtStorm on 04/03/2007 17:10:27 To bring things back down to earth a bit, I know that not very many people will understand or even care about everything I just said, I'm looking for the ones that do. This is only the hidden side of the project which I am required to state publicly to bring it out into the light so to speak. As a student of the occult I know there are others like me in the game, be they members of fraternal orders or not. Personally I am not but I have friends who are and with few exceptions most of them barely understand the work at this level. I hang around normal people other than that so I'm used to sounding crazy. While I over elaborated on some things and under on others, it's all pretty basic and not dark at all. It is very simply a shift in focus from being intent on winning to being intent on having fun but the effect it has on every aspect of play is rather amazing.
One of the things we wanted to set up in conjunction with this is an intergalactic player driven event network. The TARDZ "Speyshul Olympics" would consist of different events hosted by different alliances in different regions and we would (with a hell of a lot of help from everyone else) try to organize the overall event and take care of diplomatic and other arrangements between events and sponsors. Participating sponsors would agree to put the event system above any political differences in the name of fun just like the real Olympics are supposed to be. Obviously this is a huge project and would require a lot of talented people and resources that TARDZ alone can't provide and we wouldn't want the entire network dependent on any one corp or alliance anyway, it should be self sustaining once we get it up and running.
Things are breaking up and reforming and we are confident all of it for the better.
The purpose of this press release is to: 1)Solicit help from those with a similar vision to put the fractured pieces of the universe back together in a way that benefits the game and everyone playing. We really need to tap that huge player base pool of creative talent.
2)Publicly announce our agenda. We have zero, and I mean zero political agenda, we absolutely do not care who wins what space or who ends up where as long as we have fun and are able to conduct our little experiment and pursue the event network as stated above.
3)That being said, in the interest of fun and good play we will support whoever the current landlord is for the space we are in. We hope that when the smoke clears and it's all said and done that all space is more open than it is now. This has nothing to do with political interests, it is what you would expect if we were in your space and we do not screw people who work with us.
4)We aren't uber, in fact you could say we suck a lot of the time, but we're having fun. It might not seem like we care but we do, we just care more about having fun than winning. If you engage us we'll give you our best (which may or may not be great) but with the intent on playing a good game and having fun, not on "beating" you.
5)Annuit Coeptis - It's from Virgil, there are many takes on an exact translation but essentially it means "Providence favors our dangerous undertaking" meaning luck is on our side. Providence is a bit hard to explain, it is the unseen force that keeps our unseen work on track. When a work is in line with the way providence wants things to go, it has almost no chance of failure regardless of how impossible it may seem. This is an example of the types of "occult" forces we will be working with and one of the keys to understanding how the human race has pulled off the absolute greatest feat imaginable against impossible odds.
