She's got some other major projects coming up and is on haitus from BSG for the next while. I'm sure Starbuck will be back eventually, but it might be a while :( Anyone remember?

There are a few different ways to look at that though... On one hand, she could come back at the end of the episode as a Cylon, for the big season finale shocker. Or Apollo goes crazy or something, and see's her in a vision, or a ghost...Or, ya, she just ejected and is still alive... But whatever, she's supposed to have a part in the finale. IMO - cylon.

The writers most likely want to get 5 seasons out of BSG, so if the show does not get cancelled, they won't find Earth until the end of season 5. However, that is a pretty boring thing, to find Earth in the series finale... The writers could be more creative, and find earth in the middle of season 4, with no humanity on it, and use the other 1.5 seasons to have them find out where humanity went after they left Earth. (obviously parallel or after the 13 colonies were formed) Have the Cylons find Earth first, and have them realize their prophecies are all wrong! I have a feeling the show will be cancelled b4 it gets to 5 seasons... Building the homestead

The heavy raider would appear to be present, as we saw it once from Lee's perspective. We also saw Kara with her hand on the ejector before her viper *****ed. Whats to say the raider didn't rescue the pilot and steel away in the clouds with her. Raiders could have a lower atmospheric hard deck than vipers. All we know is that the fleet think she is dead. As for the rumour that series 4 is halflength, not entirely true, the first half of series 4 has already been commissioned, the second half has not yet, but this has been common to BSG since its rebirth. If I remember correctly in the original BSG, dident the orginal Starbuck disapear and then turn up again later? I havent seen it since it was on TV back when it came out but I remember him being stranded with a cylon. Well I think shes alive and stranded with that cylon who is obessed with her. Why else would they build us up so much about her destiny only to kill her?
