For some dumb reason I'm not finding Pyroxeres anywhere I normally found it. Has this rock been pushed to lower sec systems now?

Sorry, but if you want that "high-end" of an ore, GET THE **** OUT OF 1.0-.9 systems. You're probably in an apoc as well..

The Reclaimer does not represent us Now that you mention it, I haven't seen any in 0.5 even though I was up to my ears in Omber and Plag.

Reclaimer you're a belligerent a$$. Obviously he's not talking about 1.0. Pyroxeres is actually absent above 0.4 or so, which is crazy considering its value. I know you love propping yourself up by accusing others of being weak, but some people actually have some legitimate questions about things in the recent patch.

I see Pyroxeres in 0.1, but Omber is oddly absent

Seen Omber in .6, Pyro in .8...
Try looking where you haven't looked before?

Interesting. I did a run through a few .5 and .6 systems I used to mine it in, none of them had any. Guess I'll widen my search when I get home :)

Kay, let's make this a little clearer. There are unconfirmed reports that many of the alliances' bistot fields did not respawn. But Great Wildlands allegedly has arkanor. What's the difference between the two?
Ain't nobody been seriously mining in Great Wildlands in a while.
Pure speculation but it tracks. Try looking where you haven't been looking

Yeah, there's buttloads of omber in .6 now (but that might be because of reset roid fields). Guess some stuff got shuffled around.

funny u should mention this..i got an agent mission in ammatar to mine 333 plag..the funny thing is theres no plag even remotly close to the agents system, i even checked the 2 closest regions 1.0-0.2 and they didnt have any plag aswell....
It seems diff corners of empire space have diff types of roids now :(

That is definitely the case as of now: what's yet to be seen is whether that is because the roids are to be found where they've never been mined, as Jash suggests; or because they are have been deliberately rejigged to be more common in some belts and less common in others. That would be one way they might be trying to spice up the minerals market: glut of isogen in Essence but shortage of nocxium, and vice versa in Domain, for example.
Or, possibly, it's just completely borked right now

I can't recall seeing anything about this in the summary of changes for Castor, but I'll go take another look. Anyone remember if this was at all an "expected" change?

Not 'expected' per se. But if what's going on is what I suspect, I'd guess when they corrected the bugs in the roid distribution routines they let the system recalculate according to what was mined from historical data.
Ergo, the system remembers that Pator has been mined nonstop for the past 7 months while nobody has been in Arnstur for 6. So the roids in Arnstur are juicy while Pator is lucky to have Sco/Veld. But that's all speculation.

Also seems the guy that wrote the agent misisons and the guy that mucked with the ores did not compare notes.

I personally cand find any plag in my local area, but I was mining pyrox in my old system in what is now massive quantities, whereas before, only tiny roids. so i think its a super shuffle of the ore, some types being rare in some areas.. which i kinda like the idea of.

I cant be certain of this but I think that the belts have ben changed to reflect the amount of mining in them now.
I remember reading somewhere that if a particular ore is heavily mined in a belt then there will be less and less of it respanwing to reflect the minnig activity.
What this means is that maybe people need to go out and look around the systems that have largely been ignored by mining operations.
I may be wrong but it cant hurt to go off and take a look.

Edited by: Darrin Tobruk on 23/12/2003 03:39:08 I've been mining loads of omber and hadbergite in 0.1 systems along with a bunch of plag, but no pyro. No nocxium yeilding ores at all, in fact.
