So TL:DR the new launcher was super wonky. I did a factory reset on my laptop (dedication to EvE right), upgraded to windows 10, and then reinstalled the new EvE launcher. However, I cannot physically connect to the game. The launcher loads (it wasn't in the past due to boat load of certificate errors) and I happily log in each account only to be stuck in a permanent black screen with the "resource loading" icon in the bottom left corner. I've sat on the page for 20mins and nothing happened. I didn't even get the usual socket closed message.
I tried downloading the entire game mode but after like a day of downloading, I've only managed to download half of the full data. I closed the launcher and reopened it. It connected normally and I tried to enter the game. At which point I was met by the exact permanent black screen.
I then tried going through the bin folder and using the eve.exe file. After an initial failure, I changed the settings to max performance to see if that was causing the issues. I then tried again and made it to the character log in screen after a few minutes, but again I'm not actually able to go any further and always the same black screen.
Can someone please help. I wants to play with my mistress

Make sure you have up to date video driver, then check DX tick box in settings, try on and off see if it helps.
If that fails try starting loglite this my help track down what the problem might be.
Setting can be accessed top right of launcher. |

I was able to get into the game, play for about 5 mins but still quite laggy. Not the my wifi is slow lag, but like physical frame rate and sluggishness kinda of laggy. Well I went to go dock in a gallant station and black screened for nearly 2mins. Finally "loaded" station as in I can see my ship, some blinking lights, but the rest of the station is black and I have no options to click on anything; i.e. not buttons or station access.
