Before I head off and file a bug report I thought I'd ask here and see if others experience this or if it is just me and my pc.
Basically rats do not always appear on my overview. Some do, some don't. Doesn't matter if I have them target locked or not. While I can manage it is damned annoying. I think I am all done with a mission and realize there are actually three more rats lurking somewhere else. Pulling my view waaaay back helps spot them but still...
Anyone else?

I'd wager you fell prey to some of the new mission drone classes.
Or put in another way: There are a few missions where certain ships belong to another npc class. Just right click on the ship and look for a 'add xyz to overview'.

.......and remember to save your overview settings, otherwise they'll be invisible next time too.

I've seen this happen too. Very irritating. I finally just opened the Overview settings panel and clicked the "Select All" button, saved the settings, and manually removed items from the overview and resaved until I had it the way I wanted it. It seems there are some mission type NPC's that are affected by "Select All" but don't actually have an entry in the Overview settings panel. ---

At least some of the mission mercenary ships are like this. They're "Generic Frigate/Cruiser/etc" but have no entry under overview settings. * * * In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

Hmmm....does seem to be Mercenary ships. Here is a screenshot of what I am talking about.
I checked my Overview setting and every ship was checked. I'll try the select all thing too and see if that helps.
