I need some help. I want to step up to a good gallente tech 2 ship. At first i was going to get a HAC(an ishtar probably) but it's not a big stretch for me to go strait to a command ship. So can anyone give me a reason why i should get one of these for ships(the ishtar, deimos, astarte, eos) with some specifics. I'm looking at this from primarily a pvp standpoint and warefare links aren't my problems someone else in my gang will be taking care of that.
do you have a loved one that's playing wow? give them a hug and tell tham that if they need a real mmo they can look no farther than eve |

both EOS and Astarte is very nice ships and cheaper then ishtar and deimos i think.
the EOS can fit a full compliment of guns and has a nice big dronebay
the Astarte is a big bad blasterboat with small dronebay but has dmg bonuses instead.

astarte and eos is really your preference, they are both excellent ships

I not able to fly a Eos just yet, so not knowing what its capable of I recommend the Astarte.
It is really a bigger bader stronger Deimos. The bonuses are almost the same except it gets a rep. amount bonus instead of a MWD bonus, but because it has a much larger cap its not really an issue. Unlike the Deimos it has 4 mids which is perfect for the standard blaster - mwd, cap injector, web, scrambler. It has two additional guns to the deimos plus its better fitting stats lets you fit a full rack of ions plus tank.
Deimos is still very fun though too... just not as effective but faster (not by that much though) and more exiting imho.

If a Deimos wouldn't handle like a brick it would have been a much more fun ship to fly.
Astarte can fit a full rack of tech II Neutrons / MWD / Injector / Dual Rep if you give it a powergrid rig by the way. Well worth the 40 million.
Still the Eos owns more IMO since it has that 5th midslot and 5 times the dronebay.

Both the Ishtar and Deimos are really tight to fit. Which is something thats relieved on the Astarte/Eos. Of course you pay for the choice through the extended training time, but the cost of replacing a ship is lower, along with more damage, easier fitting, and a tougher tank.
You take what is offered. And that must sometimes be enough. |

Just one grid rig or two? Also, what is your AWU skill at?

Your probably going to need 2 tech2 reactor controls in there to support that Astarte setup, either that or a rig to help out with it. Kinda hampers your setup, usually best to go with a tank and damage, dont wanna go out naked with a half tank. Unless you enjoy paying lots of money annualy

astarte is the badest cruiser/bc sized ship. it has the sickest dmg :)
eos... meh ill use it when i can fit 3 warfare mods on it :P
t2 BC are chaper + they are better
