Tried a sensible not too overcramed Harbinger fitting:
7x Focused Medium Pulse II 1x Armor Warfare Mod
10mn AB II Named Web Named 20km Scram Named Med Injector
2x MAR II 2x EANM II 1x Named DC 1x Heat Sink II
doesn't fit, 468,75cpu is 10cpu too short and there is no way in hell to reduce cpu cost any more without gimping the whole ship into lol'ness. Huricane fits this whole stuff without braking a sweat, thanks to noob-friendly autocannons and more base cpu.

Maybe you should stop trying to tank a ship that was designed to gank?

Lose the warfare link? That is alot of stuff to cram in there and still expect to fit a gang mod tbh. ---

Have you thought about rigs.
Algid Energy Administrations Unit reduces turret cpu
Hardwirings to reduce turret cpu the 3% one is really cheap and can make all the difference.

Use a faction mod in a low, fitting this ship takes really high skills, but dam when you do

Drop one MAR II for a second heat sink, replace the T2 AB by a named variant, and it should fit, I think. ------------------------------------------ Every ship has a base 60-70% resist against the primary damage type of the race that is the least able to vary it's damage types. |

I have almost the same setup, except I have another gun instead of the warfare link and I have a 10mn MWD instead of an AB, fits perfectly fine.

Have you trained up all the necessary skills which reduce the CPU for turrets, AB, and stuff like the cap booster and scrambler, etc.? I have all T2 (which usually means more fitting requirements) on my Harbinger with similar stuff to your set-up and I have some room left over, thanks to the fact that I've trained up the skills which reduce CPU and PG requirements.
And one more thing: sure, the Hurricane has more CPU, but it also has 3 launcher slots, meaning it needs extra CPU in case you use missiles.
Harbinger is a great ship, with time and skills, it shouldn't be hard to fit your favorite stuff on there.

Hurricane CPU - Autocannons - Missiles > Harbinger CPU - Lasers.
That being said.
If you have PG free, the answer is a single CPU reduction rig for the turrets.
If not, the answer is dropping to named modules.
Another answer would be to drop one EANM II to a Faction Adaptive Plating, or a Refuge Adaptive Plating[best named] depending on how much you want to spend. Those have zero CPU cost and are not terribly worse in resistance bonus to the EANM II. ---------------------------------------- Thou Shalt "Pew Pew" |

don't try and super tank a damage ship, once you think like that you'll be missing power grid instead :( at least that is if you do like me and fit 7 Heavy beam laser II... i managed with a rig though! --sig-- Knowledge is power! |

And lose the warfare link
FMP on a gang mod ship do not make baby jesus cry. He is trading about 5% damage over a Heavy Pulse[I.E. HP setup does 5% more dps] setup for a second rep unit. That isnt a bad deal. The Heavy Pulse setup for instance would require an RCU and would be unable to fit two reps. It would also be significantly CPU short even without the extra rep since the Heavy pulses use 31.5 more CPU than the Focused Mediums and he is 10 CPU short already. This puts you in the whole more than an entire heat sink[which means you are stuck with 0 heat sinks an RCU and a Co-proc to make it fit, or you downgrade both eanms to resistance plating].
You could make it fit and still do good damage with a PG rig, but that is likly prohibitivly expensive for a gang based harbinger. ---------------------------------------- Thou Shalt "Pew Pew" |
