Hey guys.
Sorry if this is in the wrong place but wasn't sure where to ask. Either way I'd like your honest answer.
So I got a choice between 2 pc's considering my wallet anso I was wondering what's the better value/ efficiency. I'm not just talking about just eve tough but primarily interested if it can run 2 clients at full grafics with some stuff in the background.
A.
Intel i3- 4170 at 3.7 ghz 8gb ram ddr3 GeForce gtx650 1gb gddr5
B.
Intel i5 -4460 at 3.2ghz 8gb ram ddr3 GeForce gtx750 2gb gddr5.
Both have roughly the same mother board with possible max of 16gb of ram so I can upgrade those np.
Obviously I'd like to get the first one cause it's cheaper but if it's not worth it lemme know.
Thanks

The second choice is more future-proof, and would allow you to multi-box better and play other games if that is a consideration.

My old bucket of bolts is an old ASUS i5 3.2GHz with 8gig DDR3 and a GTX 660 3gig and Eve runs fine still, but as a general rule of thumb I usually advise is to think from the top and cut what you cannot afford. The first should be easily more than sufficient to handle Eve with everything turned on (for reference, I have AA turned off but everything is maxed or turned on). For some, money is tight and NOT spending as much as you can afford is perhaps a point more or less valuable depending on who you are, but consider the fact that getting the cheapest when it comes to a computer is often actually more expensive in the long run if you intend to not buy brand new computers ever few years. Then again, you can in most cases always buy cheap now to get you running then simply remember not to skimp out on the upgrades later, just remember that may happen sooner. "You get what you pay for," very much so applies here.
It's kind of a toss up. I'd say go with what ever you can afford and feel good gut-wise. I should probably tell you that I only run one instance of Eve at a time (I don't multi-box), so I don't know how well off you'd be with just the cheaper. So, you might be shooting yourself in the foot, to be honest. One more thing, even if Eve is all you do now, there are other games that are far more demanding than Eve out there and their demands continue to climb tirelessly each year, including Eve: just something else to think about.
Personally, I'd grab the best one you have the money for so I have more time and breathing room to make upgrades when it better suits me in the future. When I got this old box, I had just got back from the military and could have bought far better, but decided not to, going instead for what was cheap and convenient. I believe that was a mistake I won't make again.
"Tomahawks?"
"----in' A, right?"
"Trouble is, those things cost like a million and a half each."
"----, you pay me half that and I'll hump in some c4 and blow the ---- out of it my own damn self."

I would get GeForce GTX 960 GAMING 4G 4096 Mt. If you feel like dirt cheap GPU. I think its in same price range as 700 series anyway. |

These are both really close to each other, but I would personally go with Option B
The i5 is a quad core with no hyber threading whereas the i3 is a dual core with hyper threading. Given how hyper threading works, I would would prefer 4 real cores over 2 with hyper.
It'll also handle the 960 that was mentioned should you decide to upgrade to that down the road.

Option B. Simply because of the 2GB gtx750. Future-proof as Doc Fury said.
