EVE equivalent..........
For elves and orcs and such, its pretty easy- I mean they just have to find a suitably impressive looking knife and claim its the "Sword of Unbearable Cliche +1" while they commit crimes of petty theft. But where on earth am I going to get a space shuttle I can use to suicide bomb coal miners?!
Actually, I can see it now: white collar worker caught stealing several million ús from his employer in a case of cooking the books. Gets in to court, and claims "I have no memory of it! I could have sworn I was G4nkm4st3r, and I was stealing millions of....er....virtual ús from a......er.....virtual corporation. See? I'm innocent!"

Shadowrun is focused mostly on pen and paper version, so it takes a lot more creativity. Wow is focused mostly on the computer, which takes very little creativity.
Though, I'd expect stuff like this from nothing.
There's too many dumb people in this world.
