Edited by: Replicant Amara on 18/12/2003 15:52:29 After checking the market and see all the tools, skills and new stuff coming you realize that there is no way you can do everything like in the past. The game is evolving and players will need to specialize. The problem is: what you want to do? and pray to be able to get the modules, ships and skills that will make you useful and be able to make money. As and example you can work hard to do agent missions and try to get BP or special modules, like the BP for elite frigates for core mining, then you will sell it to a player that is specialized to build them, another player will specialize in creating the deep core lasers, and the one with the skill will buy this modules and do the deep core mining and sell it to the one with the special skills to refine it and sell the minerals to the one producing another special module…
So the question is what you want to be… choose your new job and pray that you make the right decision and become a successful eve player… I know now it sucks but it will take time to realize what is worth it and what is not… So let us know what you wanna be?

I'm very glad i specialised from the start, so I dont have to choose.
I really like this development. It will force the eve economy up one level of complexity.
If this goes on i wonder where we will be by tech5 ?

We should publically state or Research preferences on a forum or something to avoid saturation of certain bps and relative lacks in others.

Edited by: Replicant Amara on 18/12/2003 16:23:19 I think solo players have it more difficult, but then again the missions from agent should be their game and become free lance. Must people say they don't like the agents casue is boring but then again if they don't like to play in teams, agents should be the way to go for them, right? I whink I will go with the agents since that is how the market is going to start, they provide we use and trade... then on the long run I will try to choose a carrer...

Edited by: Inacio Fonseck on 18/12/2003 17:15:44 i am a new player (4 days now), and very commited to the game. i've done some mining, agent missions and trading. (i haven't done research/building because i lack the skills)
my question is, when is a good time to choose a career? i know the sooner the better, but when can we tell we're ready and want a particular job?

Youe still a long way to go...first try focus on the basic skills, and go do agent missions this way you will be able to catch up when they give you implants and modules be wise selling them you may get a rare BP worth billions specially if you get those special agents... also join a corp, so you can get a better firgate fast (like today)... and get your frigate nav. skill maximize now they are cool to use...
