bought a hurricane.
Stats on market screen showed it had a targeting range of 45km.
After I bought the ship I observed that the targeting range on the ship stats indicated the targeting range was 24km.
Which is in fact the range at which I can target something.
IS this a know glitch or did I buy a funked up ship? |

you fit a WCS? they pretty much half your locking range/speed.

i'll give that a try thanks.
It just seemed to me that if a ship is advertised as having a 45km targeting range when you buy it and it turns out to have a 24km range once you get it something is wrong.
My cyclone was bought from the market, showing it had a TR of 45 and it still had the same range listed in it's stats after purchase. |

They are asking you if you fit a module in a low slot called a warp core stabilizer.
If so, read the description of that module and its stats to realize why your ships targeting range isn't what you think it was before you fit it.

Thanks for that clarification Harlequinn that does make sense. And I will check those stats when I can get in game.

Removing the WCS from it's slot took care of it.
