I couldn't seem to find a dedicated section to user suggestions. If someone knows of a better place to post this, please let me know.
I am very greatful Eve is so smooth to use and has nearly eliminated the need for me to write anything down, there are a few things I would suggest to make it even better:
FITTINGS: Please, Please, Please! Allow us to save fitting arrangements to our ships. Fittings are so detailed for mission uses, and are the ONLY thing I write down. A "SAVE FITTING" button accompanied by a drop-down menu with three to five save slots for each ship would be quite adequate.
ITEMS: In the People/Places, we are allowed to make folders all over the place. Allow us also to make folders in the Items list. What would also work is in the small LIST view of ITEMS, place the items in expandable sections like in the marketplace. It will make hunting for that charred circuit board a lot easier.
ZOOM VIEW: This is more of a cosmetic thing. Change - or allow us to change in the settings menu - the default zoom view of our ship when we enter space or a new system. I know what my own ship looks like. Rather, I like to see what ships are around me when I arrive someplace new.

Those are all good, and I'll add one more:
OVERVIEW: Can we please have the Overview be a regular window, movable, and each of the separate sub-pieces in a separate window - drone controls, gang/fleet - it's too tall for one column.

/me wishes for the day that they will open up the ui to modding. :)
One can wish, hope and dream I guess. Afterall some us were lead to belive in the tooth fairy, Santa Claus and .... ok, that is too easy and will get modded...
But yeah considering the current state of complaining, opening up the ui to modding will be completely insane. When you go down that path, it is either all or nothing.
I wouldn't mind a dev blog on the reasoning however and possibly an open discussion on the subject..
