Im just looking at fitting a rig out for armor tanking, might put it on my Hyperion.
So i was wondering if two pumps and one accelerator was best or the other way around (2 accelerators and 1 pump)
Obviously i can do maths (1+1 = window) , but i wasnt sure if they stacked like other things cz it doesnt actually say in description. I didnt really want to fit them on then find out i did it the wrong way so i thought ide ask someone who has and what they found out??
Thanks,
'Muf

In my oppinion the best rigs to go for are the boost to repper ammount, and boost to cap (you always need cap to run them).
The hardener rigs are ok, but you should really be thinking of swapping out your hardeners to match the engagement anyway and you cant do this with rigs. Max to all hardness is an OK goal in theory(Especially in PvP I guess) but once your ships hardness gets up high, the 15% or so that a rig gives does very little, where as the increase in repair ammount could be key.
Basically what I am rambling on about is that IMO the stacking penalty kills the usefulness of hardener rigs.

Edited by: Chribba on 08/03/2007 08:46:41 Using 2x Pump, 1x Accel would give you a 110.64 repair/sec. Using 1x Pump, 2x Accel would give you a 113.18 repair/sec. Using 3x Accel gives 115.79 repair/sec.
Only have to worry about the cap there.
This using a Large Repper II and having maxed skills for it.
afaik the values does not have any stacking penalty, at least my pump rigs gives +15% per rig.
Help me help you. |

You have these rigs? Do they help structure tanking too then? =AFK=

hehe Yeah I got nano pump rigs on one of my ships, gives my LARII a nice 1216,7 rep/cycle.
Unfortunatly it did not aid my hull tanking

Has anyone else noticed that the Tri-mark armour pump gives a flat 15pt increase in HPs and not 15% ? (have bug reported) ....

OOh I hadnt noticed thanks for the heads up. I think it maybe takes the award for the most useless rig from liquid cooled electronics

Uhh I think I am having a slow day, my math is wrong.
Can't be arsed to recalulate it now tho. But there is no penalty so you could easily do the math.
LARII - 800 rep - 11.25s (with maxed skills)
Pump +15% rep Accel -15% cycle
Default: 800 / 11.25 = 71,1 rep/sec
Should be fairly easy to just +/- those values.

Not sure about that one Fi T'Zeh, I remember when I hovered over mine to install it, it shows 15pt increase, but when I actually installed it I did get the 15%. I didn't petition it at the time, as due to the nature of rigs I couldn't easily recreate it.
(I had to go away and do all the maths to make sure I had got my bonus) |

I use 2 pumps and 1 accelerator for my PvE work. Its rather good for cap effeciency .

Only if you have unlimited cap.
3 accels let you repair 63% more hp/sec, but also for 63% more cap/sec than before. 3 pumps let you repair 52% more hp/sec for 0% more cap/sec than before.

Indeed 3 pumps are much better.
On max skills LAR II will give:
115.8 rep/s with 3 accelerators
108.15 rep/s with 3 pumps
For a 7 rep/s increase with 3 accelerators you get a greater capacitor usage.
