A couple of night ago i just lost my Maelstrom due to me being stupid when I decided to pod myself to Empire Sec to get 100 mil worth of implats from the insurance I recieve. So I got the implants and decided to get a Cyclone (all I was able to aford ATM) with insurance and fully fit it. I then decided to go to a Caldari Navy Agent and run some mission on my way there I ran into a lone gate camper I tried to defend my self but the ship was lost he then locked on to my pod and asked if I wanted to pay a ransom I told him all I had was 4 mil and said it was all I had (forgot about the insurance) which he said he'd only take 2 mil I paid up and he let me go and he let me keep my loot from the wreck as well. To him and all the pirates out there I'd like to say that there is some honor among you guys after all and thanks I lost 2 ships in less than an hour but still managed to fly with the more expensive implants

Quite right too. Any pirate that dishonours a ransom is scum and deserves to die repeatedly. People like that give the rest of us a bad name.
So yeah, kudos to that guy.

He has my respect. Not enough people like that around.
Hell, most people don't bother to ransom at all it seems. Even my corpies are hard to persuade to ransom.

I will say this if you offer a ransom, assuming my CEO is not with me at the time, I can pretty much say you will be let go assuming the ransom is good enough. Hell offer anything. I think tonight was the first night in awhile that everything save the stabs didn't die.....
However if Milinkoee is in system I recomend a preemptive ransom, don't wait till your pod or ship is locked, once that happens with him he doesn't stop shooting till there is nothing left to shoot freaking bloodlusting bastage....... You could be screaming in local offering 100 mil for your pod it would not matter, the red mist clouds his mind when he has a pod locked.

So I've heard. But that's okay, I don't think I'd be paying a ransom as a pirate, I'd just go down shooting and have a story AND insurance isk.
I'll keep the option in mind though when I'm flying my first battleship in Otosela/Messoya/wherever you guys are hanging out atm.

Just remember guys if you see me in your crosshairs ask for ransome first if i have the isk i'll pay it don't blow up my ship its hard enough as a 3 month old

I'd say most pirates who do ransom , honor ransoms. It is standard procedure to keep the pod scrambled while looting , then shoot shortly after if there is no convo / request in local. Some will directly convo the victim , but I don't get an answer (or not fast enough) most of the time. I wasted a few millions in CSPA fees just for ransoming

First off, please fix your grammar and/or spelling on your future posts.
Second, most pirates will honor a bounty. The select few that do not are scum. I believe there are lists out on the internet enscribing the names of those fodder bags who have no honor. Find them and enjoy!
