I've done a lot of missions, but the last two kill storyline missions level 4 have given me a 42% increase in standing each. From less than 3 to 7.19 in two storylines.
Is this normal or some kind of adjustment because there are few people working for this corp or something similar?
The missions were A case of kidnapping and Serpentis ship builders for The Scope. And yes, I ask because I don't remember having such great increases ever before.
Have fun.

What was the corresponding loss.

For the opposing faction? I lost 4.2% with Caldari and 3.15% with Ammatar Mandate.

Edited by: Asael on 09/03/2007 08:34:49 I dont know if it is normal, but i got the same thing last year. I was running missions for the navy then, and i earned storyline missions for some Gentlemen Club (I'll check on its name). Got an increase of about 27% per storyline mission. I only noticed when i was at 8-9 after my 4th mission ever with them.
Not that i am complaining, just another corporation where i can set my jumpclones, and it offers a jumpclones creator site for all of my corpmembers (only one in the corp with standings to them)
Edit: It was the Mercantile Club by the way. ______________________________

Then it maight be that small corps (yours and mine are) give bigger standing increases than larger. Right now it's the only logic thing to think.
Have fun.

Some missions got more Standing, and less reward. It's pretty related actually, it seems.
The Material for War Effort gives about the least of all lvl 4 stories, but it rewards you with a +4 implant and some cash for like 1-2m worth of ore. While the Special Delivery lvl4, where you haul 40k m3 (40x 1k m3 units), rewards you with 1m + 5m time bonus, but about 24% standing increase (depending on skills).
I know the combats give a pretty nice reward too (warlink implants usually right?), but their standing increase are probably tied to the difficulty of the mission I guess.

It sounds as though you had a story line mission with an agent from the same corp as the corp for which you ran the 16 missions that initiated the story line.

That would have been a corp standing increase with the storyline agents corp.. and you would have got a Faction increase much less..
This is common when the nearest story line agent is with another corp you have not used and get a copr increase standing of huge jumps. the more you do for that agent the less each increase will be. -

This is the most sound answer. Faction increase was lower (arround 8%) and the storyline agent is of a corp that I have never missioned with. Not that I'll need to mission with them, being that my corp standing is allmost 8 with them and I don't think they've got medical stations.
Well, now we know a way to try to increase corp standings faster. Missioning for another corp, of the one we want the standing with, when in range for a storyline agent of the corp we want to increase. Gotta test this theory.
Have fun.

Yeah its great. I've gotten Aliastra, Imperial Shipment, Amarr Civil Service, and to some degree CreoDron up quite a bit with just stories.

hmmm, i wonder if shooting down covoys could raise the opposite standing, i know failing storylines kinda does the same thing. ------------- Hadean Drive Yards The EvE inflation, 80 Macro miners, 1.5b isk/day |

This is spot on and the usual difference in standing gain between different missions however I have noticed a double bonus ocasionally. For example the 40000m3 courier mission given at State and Region Bank in Nourv always gives you 40% corp standing not 20%. I'm wondering if this is the agent type to corp type matching as happens with normal mission LP rewards when you get a bonus to LP gained with command agents while working for Caldari Navy for instance.
What was the agent type and the corp where you gained the huge increase? For reference the Nourv agent is advisory working for S&R Bank.

Storyline's corp The Scope, agents' division Marketing. Normal missions' corp Chemal Tech, agent's division Manufacturing. Yes, the mission payout was relatively low (1M+1M in A Case Of Kidnapping), but the bounties of the rats where worth it (about 15M, but some hours spent doing it in the slow but sure way of doing it).
The 2 non-killing storylines I had with them had much lower increase (4.1833% for Materials For War Prearation and 10.7142% for Transaction Data Delivery), but IIRC there was an implant for them as prize.
Now that I've finished with these corps gotta find a similar combination. Standings-whoring FTW!
Have fun.

Attacking convoys only decreases standings with the corp that launched the convoy. I could find no other chnges, last time I checked anyway. -AS |
