I heard that CCP said something that Amarr is going to get boosted and something that they will be king of the cap? Am I right? More info, demand I!

My guess is that we are going to get "oomph" in the form of a dps boost in combination with a general nos/neut nerf + Amarr cap warfare boost. Seems to make sense from the breadcrumbs dropped in the dev blog.

Yeah, I love how they will give Amarr a cap warfare "boost" while at the same time nerfing cap warfare . Give with one hand, take with the other.
Besides, cap warfare is also of near zero use versus NPCs so another for that boni.
The other "boost to Amarr is to nerf omni tanks (EANM) which while helping Amarr DPS some also nerfs Amarr tanks along with everyone else.
The two biggies for Amarr are limited damage types with lasers and losing a bonus just to fire their weapons. Neither of which looks to being addressed.
I'd call the overall Amarr overhaul a bit underwhelming.

Well, I would wait and see before judging. Honestly, if they increased laser damage by 15-20% then it would be worth a ship bonus and fits with Amarr large-cap philosophy. Everyone would want to fit the most damaging mid-range turret in the game (pulse lasers), but only the Amarr can use them with effect due to the reduced cap requirment ship bonuses. If they did that, in combination with tinkering with omni-tanks, we would be sitting pretty.
Also, a general nurf of cap warfare isen't a bad thing. Nos/neut are a bit overpowered right now. And by optimizing Amarr for cap warfare would give us an advantage over other races in nos/neut use, which has the poteintial to be a nice advantage.
Again, best to wait and see how it shakes out before drawing any conclusions.

I agree that NOS/Neuts need to be toned down. I also agree that I guess we need to wait and see how it all pans out before making a judgement. Just seems on paper they are missing the biggest Amarr drawbacks and not set to hand them all that much (and again a NOS bonus while it may be nice in PvP misses the other half of the game in PvE).
Again though I agree all we can do is wait and see and then decide how everything stands.

Remember, going by history, it will take 6-12 months minimum before anything the devs say take effect ingame. So keep that in mind. --

Some general buffage is needed, and I'll be waiting in suspense for details on how they plan to do it. That being said though, the single thing that has me most excited is the idea of the sacrilege as a viable solo/small gang boat. I'm thinking HAMs, mwd/scram/web/injector, dual rep tank. That'd be fun to fly

How to fix Amarr, change 10% laser capacitor reduction to 10% faster capacitor recharge rate. ^^
They will be able to tank like a real man and efficiently use capacitor weapons, tho their lasers will still be gimped, but you can't have it all right? :P

I hope they get boosted out of an air lock. How many of these dumb threads do we need?

I dont know but if we send out pamphlets for a "boost amarr conference: Right through this door" maybe things will take care of themselves.
