Around 5:50 Eve time, word went out that a POS In ED-L9T had gone offline. ED-L9T has but 9 moons, and FIX keeps it like a fortress with a Deathstar at every moon.
It was late and numbers were low, but there were a few roaming gangs about from the various alliances. One of the roaming gangs came across the POS, and fought a small skirmish with defending forces, after destroying some of the guns and other POS parts.
FIX retook the POS, bringing in three carriers, and a good deal of support.
Realizing the carriers were in the open, the roaming gangs were quickly merged, capital support was lined up. During this time the POS began to online, and our scouts watched as the FIX Numbers massed, and the onlining process began to tick away.
Northern Forces charged the field, smashing into the support, while a Cyno was erecting bringing in 5 carriers of our own. A vicious battle raged between support fleets, and the Northern Forces watched in desperation as the POS online timer began to shrink. One FIX Archon got out as his tacklers were downed.
As the FIX support fleet was mostly destroyed, The first FIX capital, a Thanatos, soon followed with 15s left on the POS timer. So close did we cut it, that we were not able to get loot, as tacklers were launched like sacks of potatoes by the POS shields.
Northern Forces had managed to bump/web another FIX Carrier, a Chimera, just enough that he was slightly outside the POS bubble. He was quickly destroyed.
Northern Forces held the Field, downing around 40 ships, including 2 Carriers and 10 or so Battleships. Losses were around 7 various types.
Unreal Fight. Props to all those invovled.

This was one massive battle. Finally got on a FIX Carrier killmail.

I've never seen my carrier fly so fast as it did when it shot out of that pos shield, 100m from open distance of the FIX carrier wreck too :( Good fight to all involved, and dont' forget about daylight savings tonight :P

I had a gut feeling a fleet would be comming... and come they did. In hind sight I probably should have heeded that feeling and warped to a different pos ... but well, I've been known to drop that carrier on fleets before .
I was hoping that tank would last... and it was close, but not quite. Didn't realize you guys brought in 5 carriers till I saw the kill mail ... was wondering why those drones wern't dieing to my smartbomb.
She had a good run. RIP ITS Hera's Virtue.

also give us battle report from 9cg and pmv

How about you make one if you feel so strongly about it? There are already threads about two of those three in any case.

was a pretty impressive battle on the whole, one minute there was our small gang roaming around, next it was a fair size fleet 
i missed most of that fight as i was fighting the immortal wall of lag 
i was hammering that one carrier for 6-7 points dmg! pew pew
anyways gf

Yeah yesterday was a good day of fighting on both sides. We got hit pretty hard in the early part of the day and kicked arse later on, but hey thats war. I must say the funniest thing is seeing that fix carrier wreck in the pos shied, its unlockable and just sits there mocking..lol, anyway GF.
