Massive - 100% there with Eve (although I still want more random scenery)
Multiplayer - as recently pointed out in Dev blogs etc, even market and trade wars are in an abstract way pvp as you compete with other players for sales
Online - well 95.833(recuring) % of the time
Roleplay - Still awaiting FW for the masses
so where is the G ? Increasingly I get the impression that many companies see MMO's as social gathering places online, where people can do a dance and mingle/flirt/interact whilst at the same time escape their normal lives through anonymity.
Of course Eve is missing this except in the much simplified chat interfaces. In comes "Walking in stations! yay!!" Now we can see and meet and greet others who idle in station all day long just like us.
People whine no end about "logoffski" and "meta-gaming". I'm tired of finding at every corner I have to invent new research alts or market alts or hauling alts or mining alts or whatnot. (Maybe i want too much :P)
But please, when we do get walking in stations, don't take the "Game" out of Eve

SOCT Advanced whining training. While this training obviously is of great value to anyone, the most impressive results are achieved by students with great latent potential. These students develop almost superhuman whining abilities and can whine about problems so early that, to the untrained eye, it almost seems as if they can predict the future.
Adds 1 additional point to your Whiner attribute per skill level. -
If you go into your options menu, there's a difficulty slider. Put that all the way over to the easiest setting and you'll be fine. |

Guys, I don't think he's whining... he seems to have actually turned excitedness for an anticipated feature into a pre-emptive whine. -omg-

1). It is not a whine, it is voiceing a concern
2). Many people i've talked to have voiced this concern. 4 "quit whining" posts does not make it invalid:

This I've seen pasted into other forum threads. It insults me that you didn't read the thread, contribute or criticise constructively but just hit ctrl+v and got on with the op bashing

The subtext of what i'm saying is:
I feel that "walking in stations" needs to be more than just walking around and talking. Needs to have stuff to do, interact with, maybe even fight in

With all due respect, you don't have to be a rocket scientist to see upcoming problems before they hit the fan, given CCP's track record in pre-nerfing things into oblivion and forgetting plans or promisess as fast as from pre-patch day to post-patch day, and nice lack of feedback for UNCOMFORTABLE yet not urgently pressing concerns. _ MySkills | Module/Rig stacknerfing explained |

Actually I copied that from the item database and altered it manually. Just for you.
And the subtext of what I was saying is, it's still just being designed, they haven't finalized what will be possible yet, ffs they haven't even made any concrete promises yet, let alone broken any.

So far all we know is what it will look like, and yet you're whining about the potential lack of content?
Let's not forget that the whole rest of Eve (the part which, as everyone is so quick to point out, is what Eve is really all about) will still be there. -

Every time any problem in the game is mentioned they are bashed for focusing on WIS instead of the 'real' problems. Now they are being pre-bashed for worrying about everything else instead of WIS. They really can't win. -

Don't you just love customers ?
Well, to be honest, the WIS team is probably almost completely separated from the "game" team, so those that whine about "don't focus on WIS but on the game" and equally those that whine about "stop focusing on the rest, give us WIS sooner" are both dead wrong.
My post was almost completely directed at the "whine skill" and not at this specific thread's topic _ MySkills | Module/Rig stacknerfing explained |

Seriously, I didn't think would have to condense it any more for you to understand:
I'm saying;
"This is where things seem to be going"
"I don't think this is a good idea / I feel it should be avoided"
