If someone cancells thier account ccp should delete thier char and refine thier stuff that downtime. If its a ceo of a corp, remove all members from corp and do not allow the corp name to be used again.
The reason I say this is they still can be here in the forums. I do not feel that if a player chooses to leave to do other things that there should not be any compansion. They choose thier path and poof they are gone. --------------------------

If they plan on coming back then they would never leave and want to stay current and just do skills. --------------------------

Ok What if they Got their Credit Card Canceled, What if someone Died, and they had to Save All possible money for a Funeral and Stuff.
Every Other MMO keeps Characters for a Certain Ammount of Time, This Ammount should never Ever be the second they Cancle their Account.
Stuff Happens, Not like having a Idle Account Hurts Any one, and Forums wont kill you either.

Or for instance(real example), you get sent to Iraq. Whats the point of paying for the game when you don't have anything to play it on and you've got plenty of other things to worry about.
I came back to UK, and reopened my account. There you go, Harisdrop. I can see some of your point, maybe they shouldnt be able to post on the forum.
A good idea, for me anyway, and probably a lot of people, would be being able to train your skills through the forum (As you can view your character stats) - that way, i probably wouldnt have bothered to cancel my account as I could then have at least trained my character through the limited internet access you get. How about it CCP?

I agree with Factory Boy. Would be nice if you had to leave for an extend period of time and had limited internet access, you could still keep your character progressing to a point. Harisdrop lay off the caffine and the hatteraid.

I don't see how this in any way would benefit CCP, therefor it's not going to happen.

Its not for the benifit of CCP but its player base. AS a paying customer those minerals that are locked up in the cancelled account are bad and dead.
I would say though if you cancelled your account your skills and skill points goto a tape and is stored for three months. If you come back before that time and want your character back you pay $30 and get your character in a couple weeks. --------------------------

I was unaware that there was a finite amount of ore/mineral in the ever universe.
Now my goal will to be to hoard it all and then cancel my account! :) Your Welcome Harisdrop.

Cancelled accounts should not be - for all I know, are not - allowed to post on forums. Stealing and recycling all their stuff, doesn't really serve any purpose though - it's not like there isn't an infinite supply of stuff produced by NPC corps.
