You're going to break your keyboard or mouse with that much mashing.
Most likely, if you didn't have an instadock, is that your ship was moving into docking range as warp to 0 doesn't perfectly. It's warp to within 2500m.
If you did have an instadock, then ping the server and see how long it is taking for request to be sent and the response received back.
Of course, there could be a bug, in which case, bad luck OP.

Allow me to tediously clarify. I think the OP is referring to how slowly the server seems to be running, not expressing doubt as to his ability to dock a spacecraft. Correct me if I'm wrong, OP, but I'd venture to guess you know how to get into a station without further tutelage.
