Hey folks. We revealed the models and first pass of bonuses for the two new Alliance Tournament prize ships in CCP Logibro's recent dev blog, and it's been great to hear from a lot of players drooling over these so far.
These ships will be given to the top teams of the 14th Alliance Tournament which will be streamed live on our twitch channel this October.
We're ready to share the full stats of these ships (including a few small tweaks to the bonuses revealed earlier) and start getting proper feedback!
The Caedes is a new Blood Raider Covert Ops frigate that builds upon the strength of their mass-produced Cruor and adds covert cloak functionality. This ship is designed to be able to pick its battles and control its enemies as it slowly drains their life away. The unique bonuses to Small Laser and cap warfare falloff encourage a short-midrange engagement range with extra flexibility to deal with opponents who will be desperately trying to escape.
Caedes Amarr Frigate Bonus per level: 20% bonus to Energy Nosferatu and Energy Neutralizer drain amount 25% bonus to Small Energy Turret falloff range Minmatar Frigate Bonus per level: 20% bonus to Stasis Webifier range 20% reduction in Cloaking Devices CPU requirement Covert Ops Bonus per level: 10% bonus to Core and Combat Scanner Probe strength 25% bonus to Energy Nosferatu and Energy Neutralizer falloff range Role Bonus: 400% bonus to Small Energy Turret damage 10+ bonus to Relic and Data Analyzer virus strength Can fit Covert Ops Cloaking Device and Covert Cynosural Field Generator Cloak reactivation delay reduced to 5 seconds No targeting delay after Cloaking Device deactivation Energy Nosferatu fitted to this ship will drain targeted ship's capacitor regardless of your own capacitor level
Slot layout: 4H, 3M, 5L; 1 turret Fittings: 60 PWG, 190 CPU Defense (shields / armor / hull) : 500 / 800 / 550 Base shield resistances (EM/Therm/Kin/Exp): 0 / 20 / 40 / 60 Base armor resistances (EM/Therm/Kin/Exp): 50 / 35 / 25 / 30 Capacitor (amount / recharge / cap per second) : 500 / 217.5s / 2.3 Mobility (max velocity / agility / mass / align time): 375 / 3.6 / 1,200,000 / 5.99s Drones (bandwidth / bay): 10 / 30 Targeting (max targeting range / Scan Resolution / Max Locked targets): 42.5km / 650 / 7 Sensor strength: 22 Radar Signature radius: 35 Cargo Hold: 170m3 Corpse Bay: 60m3
The Rabisu combines Blood Raider nosferatu technology with covert cloaking and powerful remote repairers. As the second ever cloaking logistics cruiser (and first for armor repairing) this ship is uniquely powerful for supporting covert armor fleets. Unlike Amarrian logistics ships that rely on capacitor chains in cooperation with allies, the Rabisu sates its insatiable capacitor appetite by draining other ships (either friend or foe).
Rabisu Amarr Cruiser Bonus per level: 35% bonus to Energy Nosferatu optimal range and falloff 20% bonus to Energy Nosferatu drain amount Minmatar Cruiser Bonus per level: 20% bonus to Logistic Drone transfer amount 20% reduction in Cloaking Devices CPU requirement Logistics Cruisers Bonus per level: 20% bonus to Remote Armor Repairer optimal and falloff 15% reduction in Remote Armor Repairer activation cost 2% reduction in Remote Armor Repairer cycle time Role Bonus: 85% reduction in Remote Armor Repairer powergrid requirements 85% reduction in Energy Nosferatu CPU requirements 100% bonus to Remote Armor Repairer optimal and falloff Cloak reactivation delay reduced to 5 seconds Can fit Covert Ops Cloaking Device and Covert Cynosural Field Generator Energy Nosferatu fitted to this ship will drain targeted ship's capacitor regardless of your own capacitor level
Slot layout: 6H, 3M, 6L; 5 turrets Fittings: 1025 PWG, 330 CPU Defense (shields / armor / hull) : 1700 / 3000 / 3000 Base shield resistances (EM/Therm/Kin/Exp): 0 / 20 / 70 / 87.5 Base armor resistances (EM/Therm/Kin/Exp): 50 / 35 / 62.5 / 80 Capacitor (amount / recharge / cap per second) : 3250 / 720s / 4.51 Mobility (max velocity / agility / mass / align time): 250 / 0.52 / 13,000,000 / 9.37s Drones (bandwidth / bay): 50 / 75 Targeting (max targeting range / Scan Resolution / Max Locked targets): 65km / 400 / 10 Sensor strength: 19 Radar Signature radius: 70 Cargo Hold: 470m3 Corpse Bay: 200m3
We hope you AT XIV competitors are excited to fight for these amazing ships!

Ah I envisioned a system that would use corpses as fuel for extra bonuses but this will also be of great use while ferrying the fresh corpses |

I feel like the frigate just lacks something :/ Maybe its the 3mids, falloff only bonus on the neuts..It would just be so much nicer if that extra 5600 range was optimal instead :/ |

It's energy turret falloff not energy neutraliser. I.e. Pulse/Beam falloff bonus.

Jesus christ, I know that youre trying to make these AT ships "balanced" all of the sudden, but you should really rethink if giving them tripple ship bonuses is really the correct approach in that case. The Caedes has basically a t1 resist profile with less than 10% more base HP than a Cruor. It has the same 3 midslots. It has barely 30% added targeting range. Even if you take the lore into account this is supposed to be t2 ship. For example upgrading from a Heron to a Buzzard will improve your targeting range more than going from a Cruor to a Caedes. It has also less targeting range than a Buzzard. And yes this ship has a hacking bonus, so in theory this is supposed to be used for locking up hacking whatver it is from a far and being able to cargo scan it. It makes 0 sense that a AT ship is worse at that than your covert ops frig. And then youre giving it basically the same all over the place bonuses that a Cruor has. My proposal: Give it a proper t2 resist profile and proper t2 base HP and another mid slot, because as it stand you cant fit a cap injector to it if you want to fit tackle, and thats the base line requirement for any AT ship to be flown outside of the tournament. Also try to cut it down on the bonuses and make it either more damage focused or more neut focusesd. For example bake the Cloak fitting bonus into the role bonus and give it some optimal range to neuts or guns and you have a pretty nasty alternative to the malice.

By the way if balanced AT ships is what you want, maybe go the route of the old faction battleships from the first tournaments, they are slightly OP but also clearly designed as collectors items without combat in thought at all.

Alliance Tournaments
PvP in tournaments is exciting but what about other events that would add venues to a month long series of events?
New Alliance Tournament Events:
1. Freighter Run, Running Through The Forrest - Freighter pilots along with their escorts would have to make a five jump run hauling valuable cargo that the other team has to locate and destroy. If the freighter makes it to the destination then the freighter team wins. Twenty ships on both sides of any class that would include one Dreadnought per team could be fielded.
2. Archeology Hunt, The Language of the Slaves - Three teams would engage in a ten jump radius searching for relic sites. Once the relic site had been hacked and controlled by a team the team would need to capture the remaining two relic sites to be considered the winner. Ten ships per team up to battleship class.
3. Octogon Extravaganza, Just Stop - Five teams would engage level five PvE type mission sites of three rooms each. Once through through the PVE portion of the event the teams would have to scan down a beacon in the central room that is their beacon. Once captured the timer would stop and the remaining teams given five minutes to change out to PvP ships. Once the timer ended all team members regardless of where they were would be jump bridged to the central room for PvP. 15 ships per team up to Carrier class with one carrier and one dread per team.
4. Miners Delight, We All Mine Down Here - Miners would have to mine a certain amount of ore and then reprocess the ore into minerals where a certain amount of minerals would then have to be reprocessed. When one criteria is met it yields a pass key to a determined system that can then be attacked. When both criteria have been met a pass key for all systems is dropped allowing the team to search for opponents and attack their mining operations. Five teams in a 15 system jump radius. Each team would have three mining barges of any type and 15 PvP ships. An Orca can be fielded but if fielded the number of PvP ships then drops to 10 total. Pass keys from destroyed opponent ships would be dropped or found in the salvage of a destroyed opponents ship that would require a Noctis to salvage from the wreck. Either all of the enemies ships would need to be destroyed or a central hidden room found where each team would be required to mine a rock completely in order to win the event. |

I don't understand why AT ships is still a thing.
The AT should be profitable, sure, but handing people collector ships that will virtually never be flown outside of another AT just kind of stacks the deck against future participants doesn't it?
We have SKINs now. Wouldn't it be rad if in stead you handed out limited edition SKINs to AT winners?
That way they could use their rewards on a regular basis, still have the option of selling them as collector items for massive profit, and the AT winners wouldn't automatically be given potentially huge advantages just because they've got some ship options that they may be able to ensure are literally unobtainable by other participants? |

Lets take an example from this year's OP instawin AT ships, an Etana
Fielded 4 times, died 4 times, one of these matches was won by the fielding team
Lets take another example, Adrestia
Fielded once, died once, lost once
Seeing a pattern in here? |
