Im looking to get a First Person Shooter for my brother, his computor isnt and wont connect to the Internet so I need a game that doesnt have most of its features based around online gaming.
I though about F.E.A.R at first but he clams just looking at the website scared the bejesus out of him so, umm maybe not then. The battlefield series of games looks good but are mostly online.
Hes not to bothered about setting, Wartime/current/near future/right out there he doesnt mind so long as he gets some pointy shooty.
Im running out of ideas as most games now seem to consider online to be the most importaint part, so any of you out there know of some titles I can look into would be much appreciated.

9 days before release, it's an FPS/RPG, a map with over 30 square kilometers. You get some scare elements... It'll turn your bro into a man

HL2 and F.E.A.R both have actual decent single player gameplay. HL2 I have beaten (I thought the last level was sort of lame compared to what it took to get there) but F.E.A.R. I have not finished. Yes, it is a bit on the creepy side.

If you go into your options menu, there's a difficulty slider. Put that all the way over to the easiest setting and you'll be fine. |

Doesn't HL2 need steam and all that?
If he can run FEAR well, then go for that. Deus Ex is fantastic if his computer is lower down the ladder, but is also more of an RPG too.

The sequel wasnt crappy, it just wasnt a masterpiece. Still a solid game, even if somewhat buggy and uncomfortable on the PC.
