Goodafternoon,
So i've been playing EVE for about 3 hours now (Ugh noobs with questions, I know the struggle). But i'm quite in the Industrial Part and even more so into mining. I just got the Venture and i'm wondering, what's next? Do I just save up to build new ships, do I save money for Modules? Are there certain skills I should look into? Do I need drones? And can I 'upgrade' my ship, as in from Level 1 to Level 2.
If i'm in the wrong place feel free to kick me to another post but i'm new, so I really don't know!
Thanks in advance :)
Regards,
Webley |

Did you do all the career agent missions? Those give you an overview about the basic EvE mechanics (except PvP). There is also an industrial branch of missions, to learn about blueprints etc.
Ships can be fitted with modules and rigs but not directly upgraded to become a different class of ship. However in production the T2 variant usually requires the T1 variant as input material.
Mining is an good starter, but quite inefficient income source, because it's easy and everybody can do it with low skills. Check out exploration (there is also an career agent for this) and combat missions.

Good comments above. I would:
1. Make sure to complete all the tutorial missions. 2. Run the Sisters of Eve Epic Arc (starts with Sister Alitura in Arnon). 3. Download pyfa (or EFT) and EveMON. Pyfa and EFT are tools to help you fit your ships, and EVEMon is a skill monitor and planning tool. 4. Check out this blog post. 5. Find a good player-run corporation. I recommend Eve University. 6. Have fun! |

One point is that building ships and modules for profit is quite difficult and requires a decent knowledge of the market. Mining however is doable with low skills. I'd recommend either training skills for a barge to boost your yield, or train into a t2 venture to go gas mining in wormholes if you want more excitement and to develop more game knowledge. |

Welcome to Eve.
The Career Agents for University of Caille can be found in Trossere: http://evemaps.dotlan.net/system/Trossere/agents
If you haven't completed these missions (and it isn't possible in 3 hours) do so. You will learn a lot about game mechanics, get a bit of cash, some ships and modules and some standing with Gallente Federation to help you get started in the game.
The Sisters of Eve Epic Arc is a 50 mission chain intended to give new players more experience with game mechanics, a feel for the lore, enough cash to buy and fit a cruiser and a nice standing boost with the faction of your choice. You'll need the cruiser, or a friend, to complete the "Our Man Dagan" mission. http://wiki.eveuniversity.org/The_Blood-Stained_Stars
For mining, the next step after the Venture is usually a Procurer http://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Procurer. It will take a week to train the skills to sit in this ship, likely 2 weeks if you include the support skills to fly it properly.
For planning your training a good starting place: http://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Basic_Skills
In game, you will find a number of useful tutorial videos in the help app (? icon)
Good luck.
