Just wondering how much per hour with various high and low sector ores?

The Complete Miner's guide covers isk/hour extensively, and a "god mode" miner can, in theory, make about 120mil/hour (i forget the exact figure). however, this is unrealistic for "real world" mining, where you probably wont have maxed skills, be mining the best ore all the time, and have a maxed mindlink character in gang.

Mining Ark, you will make about 30-35m per hour based on nowdays resources prices. Much less doing Bistot/Crokite.
Thats with my skills, 1547m3 per cycle x3

Mining is not the only money bringer anyway, gotta know where to sell the ore too. You can't basicly sell your ore instantly as in some areas buyers put ridiculously low buy prices. If you put your ore for sale for a period of time, someone will always break your price by putting his ore for few cents lower. Gotta know where to sell your ore. Haulers make lots of money by just buying & selling stuff in this game. So a miner also needs marketing skills to make big bucks imo.

Dont most people refine their ore? ---

Well, a good scam should be able to score a few hundre billions in an hour. Needs a good setup ofc.
On a more serious otice, 100-120 mil an hour is quite possible, just mining.

A hulk does NOT make 120 mil an hour. In godmode with a perfect group mining the perfect rock (arknor) with a perfect refine.. you may hit 50 mil an hour. For an average hulk in 0.0.. more like 20-25.
Hulk in empire maybe 5-8 mil..

Edited by: Tunajuice on 14/03/2007 23:49:22 To do the math.. basically ore prices go anywhere from ~ 60 isk per m^3 (veldspar), up to ~450 isk per m^3 for arknor.
A good hulk but not super duper will bring in maybe 1600 m^3 per minute.. or 96,000 m^3 per hour. That works out to 5.7 mil an hour for veldspar, and 43.2 mil an hour for arknor.
You can get volume up a little.. and prices change a little.. but realize this is 100% refine. in deep 0.0 you usually get a 75%-90% refine, which brings arknor down to 35-40 mil range...
And this is if someone else hauls.

Merc isn't that great, because the ship that mines it, mines it slower than a hulk eats arknor.

That's exactly what most dont factor in.
0.0 got poor refinery, in addition to station taxes. Lowest I've encountered is 10% taxes, usually its 15-20%.

HAHA! we get 5% but alas... by my calculations with a skilled out Hulk (no implants) u can get 35mil/h with an intensive refinery -- somewhere around 71-72% yield. Ofc this goes up @ stations and even higher @ npc stations. All of this pending tax ofc. --- Minmatar have sunglasses and are, to quote a very famous Matar, "like going down a flight of stairs in a office chair firing an Uzi" -- Axitikus
