My comp broke down and i've been running this old machine with my usual grafic-card(G6800le).
First i had the problem, that it said it missed directx. Well i installed directx 9.0c to no awale, but then i installed some directx files manually, and i got it to work, just with eve saying i missed the file d3dx, but i could continue.
But all light in the game is red(?) what's going on!? plus all the pogress bars have a big red bar going along with them.....?
I installed sp2 for xp, and the d3dx warning went away, but the all the red is still there...
I have tried different detonater drivers, old and new, but no change.
Tried reinstalling eve too.
comp.:
athlon TB 900Mhz
512MB ram
Geforce 6800le

"is your client crashing" sticky, 2nd post. try the dx3redist file in your evefolder\biin when you cant get dx9c from microsofrt for some strange resons (non valid serial? :-P )

Well i DID install directx and it works without errors, other than the strange red colours. The eve\bin\redistRedistD3DXOnly.exe, didn't make any difference...

hmmm. vi adrivers if you got athlon board?
since when you got that issue?
you have the complete directx now? otherwise search dxwebsetup or something or just directx n microsoft site
you also could run dxdiag and save the results and send it hmm to me or post it here (blank your computer name or so) and we might see the problem

I got directx installed fully, and also just installed via driver, which i had actually forgotten.. but it made no difference...
How do i send you the the dxdiag? the forum has too short of a limit...?
