When I first started playing Eve learning the drone types. I would zoom in and see the little guys flying around leaving a jet stream, nice addition of immersion since you saw an X in the default setting.
Recently I've been zooming in on my lights,medium and heavies ....and no graphics. Yet I can still see the mining drones and realized how nice it was to see the different types. I checked with a rl friend that plays and he is seeing the same.
Of course this isn't a game breaker but with the graphic details in EVE as a drone pilot is does make me sad not seeing my drones flying around in their glory.
Is anyone aware of a change or bug announcement I may have missed?

Did you try recalibrating the harmonic field inverter to compensate for the variation in the electromagnetic field caused by the cohesive hyperspatial flux inhibitor?
I've heard that works.

part of the problem is the scale - if you are flying a large ship, and you try to center the camera on a small ship, you can only zoom in so close, it still looks puny. I noticed the same thing - when flying a BS, i cant zoom in close enough to see the drone detail, but when flying a cruiser I can zoom in just fine.

I remember being able to zoom in on any ship at its scale, but i also remember not having to scroll back out everytime i jump through a gate. I wish they would bring some of those things back.
HELP FIX THE DRONE REGIONS!!!

i'm pritty sure it is actuley a graphics bug with them not displaying the drone model at all, you can do the hold rightclick then left click camera zoom thing on them as far as it'll go and see nothing.

It does work, but Pilots attempting this fix should make sure that the Hyperspatial Flux Inhibitor is immersed in a liquid bath of free radicals, and that its excited to OVER 43.5 MHz while the adjustment takes place.
Failure to do this will cause Your Inertial Capacitance Multiplexer to malfunction, likely resulting in You having to "Offline" the Cigarette Lighter and Mr. Quaffee just to Undock...

try activating advanced camera settings and setting the drone as parent. might work

If this is your only issue with drones, then you're a very lucky man.
I don't care if I can see them or not, just so long as they're all attacking the right target, and not off trying to take down a battleship each!

Drones have worse memories than whitehouse officials. They reset targets every 30 seconds. If I attack at drone range for my ship (75km) my heavies will have forgotten their target before they're halfway there and will pick new ones at random. This should be SO EASY for CCP to fix! That targeting timeout loop? Remove it. Problemo fixed!

Oh yes, please don't.
Doing so would cause a conflagration in sub-compartment A45X, which is the housing for the Augmented Dispersion Accelerator.

Hold COntrol and Alt then both left and right click and zoom in on your ship. Now select a drone and do view. This will allow you to bypass the camera zoom range lock. Although i dont know how to undo it other then restarting EVE. You can get right up as close as you want on anything of any size about.
