Hiya, I am gonna make the move to 0.0 and wondered about a few things.
1. Are there regular stations out in 0.0? Or is it only POS's? 2. Can you still buy things out there like training books? Should I take my own out there?

1. Yeah there are regular stations, some are owned by alliances (only corporations with positive standings can dock)
Some are owned by NPCs (everyone can dock)
2. Some markets in 0.0 are better than others, expect prices to be higher than jita/rens etc. More than likley you will have to bring skills with you from empire. ------------- Lost Without a Clue |

1. Yes. In some regions NPC-Owned, they let in everybody, in other regions stations are owned by player corporations, these usually let in only friendlies (no neutrals). And there's mostly NBSI policy in 0.0 regions, also NPC corporation members are especially unwanted. Especially those in Newbie NPC corporations. So be really prepared. 2. These markets are solely player-run, and since skillbooks usually originate from npc sell orders they are really rare in 0.0 regions. I advice you to take necessary skills with you.

Edited by: Simon Jax on 16/03/2007 15:50:20 ^^ Really is a good way to pick a destination. Your choice of region will really depend on what you want to do out in 0.0, and how close you want to operate to Empire Space.
There are quite a few ways to make ridiculous amounts of isk even running solo in 0.0, but you really have to be hella careful at all times. I highly recommend you check out OmbreyÆs maps (link within the stickie thread). The ôtrue securityö is a very important piece of information, as it directly correlates to how tough the rats are and how valuable the ore is in any given system.
Also, it will benefit you greatly to use the in-game map and check the ôaverage pilots in spaceö and ôjumps in the last hourö to help you decide where to go. Finding that sweet system with BS rats and 15 belts looks awesome on the map, but if itÆs on an AutoPilot route through the region you could find yourself with far more company than youÆd like.
One thing that I did, though many people shudder at the thought, was take a ship with a good sized cargo bay and park it in the system youÆre using. IÆd make three safespots, one for ships, one for a secure can, and one for me. Take something that can carry a shuttle from the station and park it in the ship-spot, jettison the shuttle and fly it back to grab your combat ship. I liked using the 3mil isk Exequror since I ratted in an Ishkur at the time.
IÆd hop into the Exequror to loot and salvage every few belts, but would immediately retrieve my Ishkur if anyone else jumped in. The additional isk I brought in because I was able to haul 1000m3 or so more loot back to the station a few jumps out after a couple hours of ratting far exceeded the cost of the Exequror. Yea, the ship was æat riskÆ while parked in space, but my combat ship generally wasnÆt in any extra danger and the Exequror was fully covered by insurance! Through about a months worth of solid ratting I lost a grand total of 1 Exequror.
Edit û forgot to mention. I used a secure can (in a separate safespot) to store extra ammo and any quality loot I came across; the kind of stuff that I would take back to station in my Ishkur or even a shuttle depending on its value/size. You canÆt scan down secure cans, but you can scan down ships/shuttles so be sure not to park a shuttle next to the can.

Is there a list of gateways to 0.0 NPC space?
