Agents with good faction should give you a choice of missions?
your the best guy he has and all you get is empty the garbage!
how about you get a choice of 2, at least then we can not moan and being the agents gimp...

I like that idea. I foresee problems if they keep offering one that rewards you with a skillbook and one that doesn't; but given sufficient tweaking it has considerable merit.
Someone shunt this over to the Ideas board, maybe?

An extension to that... really good agents should sometimes eve-mail you to request that you do tasks right there and then :-)
How many times have you sauntered to a station, spoke to your agent and, mysteriously, there's an urgent mission needs doing?
Why didn't he mail you to ask you?
You want good agents, you want multiple choices of missions and decent rewards? Sometimes the agents should be doing to demanding...

Another valid point; but that's something that would have to happen VERY rarely, because a lot of people cultivate agents by the dozen. You want to have 6 ultra-urgent emails for missions that need doing, all at the same time, in six different regions of space? Given that whichever five you don't do will cause drastic loss of standing with the agents involved.
And, of course, there's the realism/gameplay problem; in the real world, your system would make total sense. But here, some people have to go a few days at a time without playing. Will those urgent missions be piling up? You could set them to only be sent while a player is online, but what if he gets one immediately prior to logging out? The LEAST urgent IRL reason for having to go is vastly more urgent than the MOST urgent game reason for having to stay.
In short, my judgment is a very nice idea in theory but far too many practical flaws for it to be workable.

Agreed.
In fact, Ill agree with anything that would make agent missions less boring.
Yesterday I did a homeless mission, and it made me laugh for some minutes... It is somewhat bugged because the homeless won't end in your local hangar, but somewhere outhere (you have to look in your assets to find out where).
Spy missions, thief missions, are good. We need more of them... _______________________________________________

yes this is good idea, they could just take the next mission and put it with the current mission, and you simply just have option of which mission to pick from...
that would help a lot for some missions that you would not not want to lose faction/standing to let it expire, and to pick maybe a different mission based on your taste and what you could do based on ship and items???
this would also be cool if the agents could keep track of what missions you do... and then give you more of which you took
so say you dont want kill missions or you dont want to mine or haul well you could some what train your agent to give out more missions to your taste...
i just say have a % chance to get more of hte missions you like... over time this will be cool...
of course you would have to balance the missions etc... but its great idea support Idea: QuickInfo an alternative to ShowInfo

This is now possible to a large extent by working for the right division of a corp. Their Internal Security division isn't going to ask for much tritanium, Mining probably don't need to move homeless people across the galaxy, and Marketing will not be asking you to murder large quantities of potential future customers.
Not that your idea isn't also a good one, to refine this policy still further.
