I'm looking for some input on which racial Freighter is the best of the group; from looking at the stats on each, I see that the Charon has the largest cargo cap. while the Fenrir has the highest velocity, but beyond this, I don't know what makes or breaks a freighter.
Any input will be appreciated.

Cargo is king on a freighter, so I think thats your answer.

Most people go for the Obelisk, because you get the Iteron V on the way. As you said, the Charon has the biggest hold, but therefore it's the slowest around. The Fenrir is the fastest and most agile, whereby agile isn't really applicable to freighters. Mostly it's a much of a muchness, with minmatar freighter 3 you also have over 800,000m¦, which is a lot of space. Depends on your skills that you already have, and on your taste of ships.

Edited by: Fokus on 16/03/2007 19:42:58 Between a Fenrir and a Charon (opposite ends of the spectrum), if you are planning on autopiloting through high sec, the Fenrir is probably your best choice. The cargo difference is minimal (less than 10%). But the speed difference is considerable (30% greater). Its up to you what is more important.

Go with looks, everything in life boils down to looks. And going along with that concept, id say either the providence or the obelisk.

obelisk or charon. Fenrir and Providence can't carry the biggest pos structure(capital ship assembly array) unless the pilot has trained the freighter skill to 5. You never know if someday you'll have to move one of those for your corp and you regret training for fenrir or providence...
(PS maybe the volume of that structure should be changed?)
