For those who haven't run into this mission yet: the Foundation Stone which you must deliver to a naming ceremony, which used to be any old construction block taking up 2 units of cargo space, is now an item in its own right and takes up 180 units. You can't do this one in a shuttle any more.
It's obviously deliberate, and not at all a bad idea IMHO. I merely post for information to save people going to collect it in a shuttle, and finding they can't.

I just noticed this too; the foundation stone didn't fit into the cargohold on my rifter frigate! I think this is silly from a RP perspective; I thought foundation stones was just ordinary building blocks...
If its going to be kept this way, I think a explanation/warning in the mission description is in order...

You know I hadn't noticed - what I have just noticed is data sheets take up 1m3 now (maybe they did b4) which puts the mockers on transporting 650 in my thorax.

Yup they used to be 0.1 (or was it 0.01?), i think all trade good have increased in mass to compensate for the increased indy capacity.

Yes a warning is indeed in order. This mission is also only for level 2-3 agents, so it shouldn't be as much of a problem.
I just tweaked it a bit, so that military agents will no longer recieve it, and there is a small warning in the breifing about the size of the shipment.

... Still makes more sense than Damsel in distress who is 0.1 m3 big and weights 80 kg. ;s

Well, most lvl2 courier missions are still no problem in, say, a rifter, so people will keep getting surprised by this... But a warning surely makes it "ok" anyway (i.e., those who don't read warnings deserve what's coming to them . But from a ropleplaying perspective, I hope for some kind of explanation to why the founding stone needs to be 90 times bigger than the usual building block...
As for the damsel in distress; the explanation is obvious: the damsel herself joins you in the living quarters and don't count towards your cargo space. Instead, the 0.1 m^3 80 kg is the specification of her matching luggage.

Data blankets and quilts, apparently.
You are in a maze of twisty little asteroids, all alike. |
