Hey guys, whats up with the crappy loot that the rats drop these days. I am in 0.0 and there is nothing but crap that is dropped. Every great once and a while I get a eutectic cap recharger, but thats about it. I remember when I used to get arbalest launchers on a regular basis. Did CCP nerf the spawns? Let me know what you think.

Perhaps you just went to a crappier system or are simply getting crappier spawns?

No No, I am getting same spawns, same space, same belts. Its not just in same systems as before, it seems as it is everywhere. Seems like things changed with Rev. patch. Any mention of taking the good loot away?

I notice a similar trend, most rats seem to drop rubbish. Ive also noticed that faction spawns dont tend to drop much. I usually fight domination spawns so is it just them who seem to drop nothing but faction ammo or do the other factions drop relativly rubbish loot now days too?

No Firk, you are exactly right. I fight DG, and I have had about 10 or so spawns and only 1 of them have given me anything other than an implant and it was a BPC to a gila....who cares about that pos ship.

I agree for 0.0 the loot is laughable. The last time I got good loot from a rat was in .4 about 8 months ago. But my biggest grievance is why ever rat drops cap boost charges, cap boost charges that for some reason take up a HUGE amount of cargo space. I wouldn't even take them into cargo if it wasn't a barrier to salvaging. Of course you can jettison them but it's a pain in the butt none the less.

It has to be that way for balancing purposes. If cap 800s didn't take up tons of space, you could fill up your hold and have almost indefinite cap.

Pfft, maybe, but try mission loot sometime compared to a few months ago if you really want to get depressed.

The upcoming patch will allow you to salvage ships without taking the loot.
And yeah, loot sucks lately, though 0.0 rats are way better than mission ones.

I just think there should be a lot better named items rather than the junk they drop. Like cap recharger I. Stuff like that is ok, but not on every single rat drop. The medium tech I shield transfers suck. Those need to stop being dropped from nice battleship spawns.

It doesnt really matter if it's worth much to the *player* base or not, it's the simple fact it dropped a BPC of a faction ship.
