Before the patch i did amarr missions to get location services, but now its also interesting to do missions because of the research points for bp's and such.
I am more interested in minmatar at the moment, and that while i got 2.0 amarr standings.
Is it true that by killing off amarr i can raise my standings towards minmatar and that way get the same level 2 - 3 agents that i have with amarr agents now? __________________________

I'm interested in this as well. Though in the opposite fashion. My question was if selling slaves boosts amarr faction and reduces minmatar faction? If so i need to go find a supply of slaves . . . ------------------- Basic truths? Idiots make us rich. - Some people are only alive because it is illegal to kill them. |

Can someone please tell me this too. I hate doing courier missions and need to raise Caldari factions ... wouldn't mind popping Gallente convoys to do this ...

this is important. does doing damage to an opposite faction raise faction with the other one? i.e., does killing amarr convoys and/or angel pirates raise your faction with the minmatars?

Actually the other thing that is related to this is I am wondering if doing missions for opposite faction corporation will damage your faction. I.e., mission for amarr corp damages minmatar race faction? or any faction?

I need some loving to my ammarr faction. I started with 3.70, and made it to 3.99. Meanwhile I got my Carthum Conglomerate faction from 0.0 to 2.58. I need 4.90 amarr, and 2.90 carthum for the best research agent available. By the time I get 4.90 amarr, ill have like 6+ carthum. I need to get my amarr faction up quicker. These IMPORTANT missiones are not frequent enough. Ive gotten 2 in 3 days/25hrs of agent missions now. And im currently runnign 2x lvl 3s and 1 lvl 2 at the same time, doing three missions per volley.

I think you need 4.90 carthum standing and 2.90 of your corporation's carthum standing.

Hey, how about giving it a try? You can't expect the devs to reveal every secret.

First, Corp standing can meet both requirements. The first number only has to be met by your Faction standing, Corp standing or Agent standing. Whichever is highest. The second number is your minimum Corp standing.
Level 4 Connections will reduce your requirements by 1.60. So if you train up that skill you will only need a 3.3 Corp Standing to meet the first requirement, which automatically fills the second of 1.3.
The first number does not say Amarr faction, though many people assume that is what it means. The first number indicates that you must have *one* of the relevant standings at that level to use that service. Only the second number is specific in that it can only be met by Corp Standing.

Yeah, great.. Doing missions for more than 3 weeks for amarr to blow it all away by "giving it a try".

Again, this is false info. Go look at the Agent FAQ for the formula of how to calculate the effect of connections and related skills.

For the past few days I've been doing nothing but agent missions for a Minmatar Corp. My standing with the Amarr Empire has dropped by 0.15 (even though one mission involved rescuing the daughter of a 'very highly ranked' Amarr official).
That's all I know, though.
BTW, are you Masako, former CEO of Oracle Corp.?

The key here is to remember that Empire Factions are only affected when you are assigned an Important Mission (see Important Mission sticky to identify these). Only those missions affect Empire Factions, which can be seen by right-clicking on the faction in your character sheet and select "Show Transactions."
Other than that...the factions changes all *seem* to be very similar to how they were effected in Gemini. That is, when I complete an "Important Mission" for my Minmater agent, I see a + in the Minmater Faction transaction log, and a - in the Ammarr Faction transaction log.
Also, there has been a SIGNIFICANT amount of db caching added to Castor. So, while you can see the transaction in the log immediately, it could take some time for your actual standing displayed to change.

killing a factions enemy is suppose to work. In beta (along time ago) we use to get our amarr faction standing up by killing convoys in gall/minmatar space. In late beat 7/6 i can remember this having an effect on the whole coprs standing towards a faction, so as a result of 2 people killing gallente convoys our whole corp was being attacked by the gallente navy. I donot know if this is still implimented in eve now as i havent really needed to find out, nor wanted to .
