What if.....?
I was a fan of this Marvel comic series as a kid and lately I have been thinking, what if battleships had jump drives exactly like dreadnaughts? I won't go into deep specifics as I am just generalizing here.
1. No more 1+ hour(s) travel time to get to a fleet fight that lasts 10-15 minutes.
2. With more than one person required, we get back to the way battleships were originally described, more or less. Something a corporation owns, not an individual. Although in this case it would come down to just 2 people running it just to get it to where it'd need to go. Sure people can run alts but that is kinda the same.
3. Slower fleet fights? With the possibility of less battleships deployed, would it mean fleet fights last longer or would the damage be on the same scale with battleships vs battleships? The planning would certainly be different, maybe even more strategic. At least skirmishes of a smaller scale would be more common and last a bit longer.
4. Eve canon-wise, you don't see something like huge minmatar warships travelling through high security amarrian space. This never really made sense to me. There may not be an official war but c'mon!
5. No uber long range fights, short of with Eagles.
6. Midsized ships get to be used in fleet fights! \o/
7. Missions. I had a thought here but if they are moving higher level agents towards lower security space, it doesn't really make a difference. And you also can no longer just 'solo' combat missions. You need someone for cyno at least.
Feel free to add to the list or make your own 'What if...?' scenarios. Try not to be too lame with them though.

Why cant we 'dock' with a carrier or mothership, And travel with them during the jump? Would make it a little less agrivating. The only limetations would be the size of the ship hangers.
Free-form Professions, ensure no limetations on professions. Be a trader, fighter, industialist, researcher, hunter pirate or mixture of them all.

I think it would be really nice to be able to dock into a CV, then you could have it not only release fighters, but frigates as well...

I know it'd be implemetation wise completely impossible and wreck the back story, but I'd have liked an Eve where people are able to warp between systems
Gates would be only between major hubs, whilst once outside the edge of a system, you could kick up to 0.1 Light-years/hour or something (so yes you would be travelling between systems overnight, or in your lunch break)

Should post with your main so your words actually carry even a little weight.
I remember way back when battleships were so hard to get. I even remember the news announcement about the first battleship ever made and the big bruhaha when it got blown up. Now compare that to today. It wouldn't surprise me if thousands of them get destroyed daily.
I am just feeling nostalgic lately with how Eve originally felt when I first started in late spring of 2003. How hard we worked our asses off for just a cruiser. Ah, the good old days. Now everything has since got scaled down to now where if you aren't in a battleship (since they are so easy to get), you are just a meatshield. I wonder if CCP considered as they made the new things that we have now how it would affect the things they made before it.
