Edited by: Princess Trinity on 20/03/2007 02:28:24 Edited by: Princess Trinity on 20/03/2007 02:24:15 Some of Eves mighiest alliances are starting to lose power or even crumble in some cases.
Eve is a game of politics and just like politics leadership must change every so often.
ISS is getting punded, BoB is being challenged by everyone, lokta voltera is losing members, KoS just fell apart recently.
It saddens me to see once great empires crumble but its necessary evil.
The past will repeat itself and eventualy most of the strongest aliances will fall and new alliances will take there place.
I for one want to see some of the powerful alliances fall, don't get me wrong, I have no hostile feelings toward any of them, but its past time for a change.
I want to see new alliance take shape, I cant wait to see what they will bring.
My favorite thing about eve is that players shape the game and the game always changed.
What do you think the changes will bring? what alliance do you think will rise up?
what alliances do you think will fall or maybe become stronger to survive?
EDIT: I ask that this thread stay flame free, everyone has there own opinion so please respect it, please no hating.

I'm not terribly versed in 0.0 politics, but until BoB starts losing major territory (which I can't see happening unless some overwhelming, serious concerted effort is made or they just get bored) I don't think they are going anywhere. Have they really shown signs of the deterioration as you describe? Once again, I am perhaps ignorant in this subject and should start reading CAOD.

The coalision is securing supply lines atm so there has not been a "serious" push into bob space, in a while, when that is done, you will see the map changin. ___ P.S. Post with your main. Mind control and tin hats |

March 2007; the time common sense took control at CCP. Now all they need to do is fix DDD, carriers, POS & NOS. |

Coalition seems to be moving more carefully now. The first direct all out engagements with bob costed too much (since no one canargue, bob knows how to fight). But their allies are loosing groud and having their economies severely disrupted, and outposts are being slowly taken.
Also its not on BOB best option to fully engage against those movments now. BOB territory is too huge and an over reaction at one poitn might collapse the other. So the huge fights will start as soon as colaition have half Fountain and is reaching S. Pargon. At that moment the colaition supply will be overstreched and BOB supply more relaxed. Then probably BOB will start serious counter attacks as wel the colition will try to make the big push to delve.

Securing a chain of systems you beleive to be a trade line is pretty redundant tbh, considering a capital ship with ample cargohold can simply cyno across it.

Not trade lanes, supply lanes.
Logistics are a huge part of any warfare. The ability to field an army is much more important than just having an army... Hence securing supplyroutes is paramount. Without it, there would be no ships to fight, would there? And you cannot carry sufficient amounts of spare ships on capitals, they have to be either freightered or flown to the theatre. That's why there has to be a route for them to travel. ___ P.S. Post with your main. Mind control and tin hats |
