I've used one with links, 4x friendly re-sebos and a faction scram on gatecamps once or twice. +5 points of scram at >18km cold and <1.5s lock time? It's kinda rude actually. Also, fantastic for holding down stabbed LP farmers in Faction Warfare 'plexes. I got the first ever kill with the Astero on Tranquility at 15:18 EVE Time on November 19th 2013.), I feel like I can speak on this subject with some authority. Firstly, your fit is bad and you should feel bad. It is too expensive and poorly tanked. That 100mm plate won't do anything and with your fit, the bling is bad. Secondly , There are 3 main ways to fit a PVP, non-stabbed ship catching Astero. 1) MIds: AB, Scram, Web, Small Cap Booster. Lows: DCU, 2 deadspace small armour reppers, EANM. This ship is a regular brawler, repping loads of DPS and benefitting from the Astero's high resistances. 2) Mids: AB, scram, 2x webs. Lows: 200mm plate, Small Ancilliary Armour repper, 2 x passive resist mods. This ship is fights at the edge of scram range, using 2x webs for raneg control and disengaging if needed. This is the pussycat fit that lets you run away screaming like a little girl if needed, and was my favourite for a long time . 3). Mids: MWD, Warp Disruptor, Small Cap Booster, one other mod. Lows:. DCU, small ancilliary reppert, 2 x Drone Damage Amps or 1 x DDA + 1 Overdrive Injector., or 2 x Overdrive Injectors. This is the kiting fit, flown like a cloaky kite tristan. For catching stabbed people, it depends on your victim. For catching explorers a scram + true sansha scram will grab those pesky fools who put 4 warp core stabs in their lows. For lowsec FW plexes, the farmer will often be outside of scram range and thus you must use a MWD and 3 warp disruptor 2s in your mids.

I normally run with a full set of genos so thats the reason im not concerned about fit.

I pretty much roamed to nullsec pockets that were occupied with pets, because you are in a frigate that is not normally used for PvP, they often threw things like Daredevils, Sabres, Dramiels, every frigate really. Could pick and choose my fights, if you decloak on the gate and cloak + re-approach, they pretty much take the cloak as "If I catch this guy, free kill".
