Arya Regnar wrote:With travel ceptors this would be a huge force multiplier. That is already possible. I do it regularly with my alts. They all fly the same ceptor with the same fitting and same skills to a destination on autopilot. I have them all in a fleet and do fleet warps to 0 to gates and the autopilot does the jumping of the fleet. Works great.
Woxanne wrote:Rather than an idea its a logical extension of the existing system. Adding an ISK based item in the game that allows you to buy an advanced autopilot from Concord would be no more game breaking than a travel ceptor. Making it able to be bought via real money would be no different than buying a travel ceptor with bought isk. So, the next logical extension is to buy a permit for RL money to be able to fly any ship beyond the alpha state, use any module beyond the alpha state, buy RL money paid permits to use certain services of the game, like market or contracts. Have an RL money paid license to do certain activities. Just because you are in Pandemic Horde does not mean that you should turn off your brain when you think about an idea.
Travel ceptors do not allow for what you are asking for. You either need to manually pilot them from gate to gate, which requires being active on the computer, or they travel to the gates via autopilot in which case they can be intercepted just like any other ship. What you are asking for are travel ceptors for the inactive, taking away rewards for active gameplay. And that is gamebreaking.

They want to switch over to a freemium model where you pay for all sorts of things, not just vanity and subconsciously pay more than a subscription, without them having to perform additional work for more content for the higher cost for players. The incredibly frustrating thing is that this kind of suggestion would perfectly fit into this scheme.
This is exactly right. I think fremium is a great thing for Eve, some people do not. This idea is paying to be lazy and fits in with a freemium model. It is no different than plex or skill injectors in that respect. |

What you suggest is, for one, directly influencing gameplay itself, and secondly, opening the flood gates for more stupid players like certain someones to pay for something that essentially should be part of the game itself. It would be another approach for CCP to condition the stupid new players into buying into their dumb marketing sprech to pay CCP more money than they should and used to have to for the same features that in previous times were part of the base game, not some special extra tier. This is the bullshit players like you support and it's disgusting.

It shouldn't even be a consideration for game change, and certainly shouldn't be a justification for a proposal. EVERYTHING any computer game company does is about making money because in the end a computer game company needs money to survive. Changes to balance in items / ships, adding new things to the game and the list goes on are all about MONEY, they want to keep us paying for subs one way or another. That isn't related to what I wrote though.
