Yes, mileage does vary when one reads. This thread's expended itself with enough alt rabble rabble. You may continue onward but it will be without me.
The Eve-Online forums may not have invented whining, but they sure have perfected it.

Odd. I quoted both your possibilities -- each of which depended on what turned out to be a bogus assumption.
So NEITHER of your conclusions follow from your evidence. Your conclusion assumes that at least one of the possibilities you raised is true, and that either would support your conclusion. You failed to consider what happens if neither possibility necessarily follows from your evidence.
Thanks for conceding the argument. It was the right thing to do.

I've been watching this thread with some interest, and after giving it some thought would like to make some observations. Let me precede these by saying I am not commenting on weather or not Zorthex is or is not intending to scam.
After giving your word to do or not to do something, then breaking it for any reason is unethical in my humble opinion.
Although there is a small argument (read tiny) that there was a "good faith agreement", this would only apply if they agreement had been specified and both parties had seen it as one and the same thing.
The other rather careless mistake on the part of Shar Tegral was that corp histories are reset when a legal transfer takes place. This is in fact completely wrong and I have absolutely no idea where Shar got the idea from. I have bought a number of production characters over the last 3 years (all legally) and not one of them has had their corp history reset.
Shar, if this were the real world you would be liable for damages to Zorthex's reputation and potential loss of business. To put it simply here, you were wrong and should apologise to Zorthex for going off on a forum rampage based on an assumption which was quite obviously incorrect.
Now as to Zorthex's business plan, the little that I can see of it does not look sound. However in fairness the only part of it that I can see is that which Shar Tegral has chosen to reveal to us - and that is by no means unbiased.
My humble opinion is that we give the guy a chance to present his IPO and then base our comments on more factual information. I would suggest that Zorthex get someone like David H'Levi, Ionia, Naphtalia etc. to look through any part which he wants to keep confidential. However keeping a part confidential is not a good idea imho unless you are backing it with security.
Sincerely,
Eefrit
