most likely there is a list somewhere with the damage type done by every mission rat...how do i know

Alot of people have this in their bio, but in brief:
Guristas - Kinetic
Angel - Explosive
Serpentis - Thermal
Sansha - EM
Blood Raider - EM
Rogue Drones - EM
Mercenary/Misc - Thermal
EoM - Kinetic (not sure)
Any i've forgotten?

It doesn't get any better than this IGB compatible database. Look them up on the fly.

It doesn't get any better than this IGB compatible database. Look them up on the fly.

As a correction, no.
Yes thermal is the racial gallente damage type, but ships that actually recieve bonuses to thermal of any type are quite rare. I can only think of 2.
Because at least half of the gallente firepower comes from hybrids, which deal more kinetic than thermal damage, serpentis have lower kinetic resists than thermal, although thermal is the second lowest.
For example, a Core Flotilla Admiral has 44% kinetic, 54% thermal on both shields and armor.
