I don't know about you guys but my Moms always made us write thank you cards after Christmas. We hated doing it because we're jerks; nonetheless they always got done.
For those of you whining about the presents, you sicken me.
Anywho, thanks CCP for the gift, was a nice little treat, and was appreciated.

Forcing someone to write thank you cards is ridiculous, all she did was teach you how to be disingenuous. Usually parents who do that are trying to make themselves look better "see how gracious and polite my kids are."  |

Sorry I only write thank you cards and emails when I mean it.
Ill tell you my displeasure of you in front of your face. Most people cringe away though when I do that.

It taught me to in fact be genuine. See my OP.
I won't argue your second point, it's true and I see absolutely no problem with it.
