I would like to know how and when CCP plans on refunding the Hulk some of us currently own. I paid 520 million for mine, and the price is already rapidly dropping.
This was not a player error, it was a CCP policy decision shift, and Im hoping someone at CCP is going to realize you are costing certain players hunderds of millions of ISK

#1 Why is the price dropping?
#2 Why should CCP reimburse you? Tier 3 Battleship use to cost 250 million isk now you get them for 180 million isk. CCP never reimburse anyone. It's the normal flow of the market.

The price is dropping because it's a T2 barge (as it should be) and can be invented.
I think it's a great thing to happen, and that the previous hulk prices were extortion.
If you're suffering buyer's remorse, sorry, but that's the way the market goes.

Look at it this way, when your t2 barge goes pop, your next one will be cheaper

hah good point about the popping.
The reason Im requesting a refund is I bought this 2 weeks ago at the market price.
With the new patch, they can now be invented, which will cause the market to flood and the price to drop.
Why should I suffer the loss due to CCP's policy shift on the Hulk specifically? Its an arbitrary rule change they have made which is causing me to lose somewhere around 200 million ISK.

My question is why were certain things sheltered in this patch i.e. ammo and drones, 2 of the biggest isk sinks out there? And am i bitter about this, just a bit, as the guys who went out on a limb to buy them are now stuck because of a policy shift. All or nothing CCP you know the rules. And before someone goes sideways on me because they couldn't get the 1/2 a bil together for the Ship's the guys that are inventing the ships congrats and your braver then i am at 225 mil ish (8x 24mil & 8x 4m) a pop until the prices on datacores come down not to mention the 2b+ startup fee's and 4 month learning curve. Nice way of shrinking 200-400 bil out of the market ;) almost as good as the 24h mining permit's for the empire ice mining.

p.s. I dont know where you are looking, but all of the hulks i have seen, contracts or on market, are 550+ million... --Sig-- Anything posted by me is my opinion and not that of my corp or alliance. |

Are you kidding? Players set the prices. If you pay up, that's your decision. You're not the first MMO player to lose ISK/gold/whatever due to game changes.

Imagine in real life that you buy a certain product. Right after you buy it, someone comes up with a much cheaper way of producing, and starts mass producing with this new method. It leads to prices dropping dramatically. Should you be getting a refund?
I know this is not literally the exact equivalent to that example, but within the logic of the game and the game universe (which is created by ccp and completely made up) it is.

Perhaps you should sell your hulk now while you can at a decent price and buy another one again when the price has dropped further.

I am a hulk owner, you are a whiner.

Its called an Economy... This happens in EVERY economy, In a game or in your home country. You dont see millions of people asking Sony for a Refund because the PS2 was 300+ at release (USD)and is now sold for 150. The longer an item is out, the cheaper the price gets. You pay more to get somthing when its new. if you want to get somthing cheaper, you wait till its been out a while and the price has droped. Anyone who follows ANY Product in ANY Economy will see this happen!!! So, its safe to say, you knew this would happen, you decided to pay more to get somthing while it was new, and now the price has droped because supply and demand have dictated it should drop.
Anyways, Even under the ABSURD hypothetical situation, that this wasn't normal in the economy (I said Absurd), CCP has CLEARLY STATED, and its Posted Above if you dont beleive me, in the EULA, that they are GOING TO DO THIS, and they ARE NOT LIABLE!!!
You made a decision, and it turned out bad, it happens to everyone. Think of all the people who paid 200M for the EC1 BPO's days before it was seeded at under 50K!!! And you dont see THEM Complaining!!!
Stuff happens. Live with it.

If you bought the hulk in the last 2 weeks, you are a moron. If you bought it before that and didnt make back your money, then you are lazy. Anyways markets change, and there was fair warning.
If you bought the hulk to sell it on, then you paid too much in the first place. If you bought it to use it, I still works just as well as it used to.

Sell your hulk now. You will have lost 40 mil. Now wait two months for hulk at 200 mil. Buy a hulk at 200 mil. But we all know you wont do that. Why ? because your hulk earns you more than 150 a month. No ?

Quit your crying. You pay a premium when you buy early. Did you know a basic personal computer used to cost upwards of 4 grand? But that was when the technology was new and there weren't many manufaturers. Well there used to be fewer manufacturers of hulks than there are now. The technology has become more commonplace. So the price has gone down. But you had the ship and were making money with it before others.
I can't believe what a noob you are to ask for your money back. Grow up.
