Same thing. I have an X1950 XTX. I've recently changed operating systems from XP Pro to vista Ultimate and the problem persists.

I heard its somewhat connected to both system and videocard onboard RAM.
Suffice to say I have this problem too and it only started when they introduced the new map system *

I have the same problem as well. At first I thought it was my graphics card crapping out, but I'm pretty sure it started after the map update. ________________________________________ <("<) <('')> (>")>

It started when they released Rev, I believe. Rendering order issue. Very annoying, looks fugly. :/

This happened when the new starmap was implimented. Seems like some odd texture tearing, but not fixed via V-sync. Since it's happening on different manufacturer's, makes, speed, and such, it counts out the possibility of it being memory size related. --- Cache Clearer |

Edited by: Roy Batty68 on 21/03/2007 18:56:43 That's a feature of Revelations. At least... thats when it started for me.
Edit: Same time that certain planets stopped occluding the sun as well.

Yeah, need to add my voice here. It has got to the point where I purposely move my camera away from the objects. I just get tired of seing that flash on the screen.
The planetary ring issue I see, Planets not occluding the sun I see, and even sometimes planets or moons in the system shine through objects.
Do people sometimes see really jagged and jumpy shadows on the outer ring of planets? Lots of render issues, methinks.
MORE SHINY, PLEASE!!!

nothing todo with graphics card in my estimate, sounds like incorrect z sorting with the planetary graphics.
