Always get my storyline missions from an agent one jump away. Now I just got a storyline mission from an agent 41 jumps away, in Gallante Space, where I'm KOS... Anyone else ever had this?

No, but to travel 41 jumps I hope the reward is more that a basic implant

Your agent is a double agent, he is trying to lure you into a trap

Try setting your AP to use shortest route, it might be a lot less than 41 if you go thru lowsec. Which is perfectly safe in many small ships.
And dont be afraid of the ships the frenchies send after you if you are KOS to them, they dont even catch a shuttle on AP and cant hope to kill a BS.

I just got one 18 jumps away, kinda sucks you can't decline them from a distance.

Look on the bright side.....I just got told I was 2147483647 jumps away from my manufacturing station!
Luckily it's only 1 jump away really, and NO it wasn't an autopilot settings problem. There's a bug in some remote skills.

Petitioned and a GM fixed it for me quickly, got the same mission but from my regular agent. He asked me to bugreport it, which I did.

38 jump for me as well, storyline. Petitioned and bug reported as well. I've had this particular mission a few times and only had to travel a short ways.

I petitioned and was told this could happen. (37 jumps for me)

I petitioned it and a very nice GM moved the mission to a nearby system.

Petition it again and got a storyline mission myself, 16 jumps away in gallente space, KOS 4tw \o/ *sigh*
