Various hacks to reduce jump count, counter collossal bad luck in mission bonuses and important missions, make low sec agents give more bonuses (which they should, because there's more risk involved), make higher quality agents give more frequent bonuses, make high sec and low level agents not send you to hell, and low sec agents not send you to heaven.
Chaos with 1357 should also clear up pretty well the 'can I talk to what agent?' confusion.
Some minor bugfixes as well and some mission fixes.
I¦d appreciate it if people could give Chaos a spin for at least a mission or two, so I can check the logs tomorrow and see if all's well. If all's well, it'll be a server side hotfix in tomorrow's DT, and perhaps an optional client patch tomorrow or the day after.
Thanks for your help, folks.

Papa Smurf, when you talk about sec rating having an effect is it on a sliding scale or just 0.0 and everything else, or something in between :-), and if so how much of a difference. Basically what I am trying to figure out is it worth the extra risk of using an agent in say 0.2 territory whos rated 12 as opposed to an agent rated 17 in 0.5 territory. Probably not much in it but would be interested to know if youre willing to give out the info.

PS..
Gonna go install a chaos client in a min ... and run a couple missions ... but if you are looking at the "can I talk to what agent" stuff plz make it so that the standings that are displayed on the screen take into account skills like Connections, cuz rite now they don't

Check out the changes to the relationship view, and the info window of the agent.

It's a sliding scale. I'll leave it to you to find out how much better bonus loot a 0.0 agent gives out than a 1.0 one.

Edited by: Ruffles on 22/12/2003 12:02:34 Papa Smurf: Just wondering about those of us with exchange agents from the Concord/Jove swap-out. Our standings with those corps are so low that swapping to another agent out in another area isn't actually possible without a lot of work to regain standing. A way around that, or just grind?
Does this mean that Research Agents will be affected the same way? IE, does having a research agent in empire space mean we will get vastly lower rewards for our effort?
Sorry, another question. Is there a reason why when we are completing missions successfully our Security Rating seems to be dropping?
